Corn syrup!? No loss there. But the ETHANOL! OH MY GOD!
Why so many train accidents?
so, in a Breaking Bad gambit, the ethanol laden tankers were derailed and hundreds of gallons were stolen and repurposed as moonshine.
“Drivin’ that train, high on cocaine...”
Lord God, we ask You to send angels to protect our lives, our infrastructure, our farms and fuel storage facilities, our factories and fuel refineries and trains and bridges and roads and mines and grain elevators and water purification facilities.
In Jesus’ Name, amen.
You’re my drivin’ wheel.
“Why so many train accidents?”
The average derailments in a year are around 1500. The figures are on the NTSB website.
Trains are longer due to fuel costs. There are fewer workers per train, and they have to check trains that are too long to fit in many yards. That's additional weight to add to the momentum of a train with brakes made for shorter lengths. Then there's the introduction of Chinese rail cars.
As far as I know, neither corn syrup or ethanol are poisonous.
Why evacuate?
Environmentalists ? only one train of the last six accidents was carrying grain the rest oil and chemicals for the most part.
