so, in a Breaking Bad gambit, the ethanol laden tankers were derailed and hundreds of gallons were stolen and repurposed as moonshine.

Lord God, we ask You to send angels to protect our lives, our infrastructure, our farms and fuel storage facilities, our factories and fuel refineries and trains and bridges and roads and mines and grain elevators and water purification facilities.

In Jesus’ Name, amen.

First one food processing plant after another, then power stations shot at, now train derailments are getting far too common.

“Why so many train accidents?”

The average derailments in a year are around 1500. The figures are on the NTSB website.

Why so many train accidents?”

Trains are longer due to fuel costs. There are fewer workers per train, and they have to check trains that are too long to fit in many yards. That's additional weight to add to the momentum of a train with brakes made for shorter lengths. Then there's the introduction of Chinese rail cars.

As far as I know, neither corn syrup or ethanol are poisonous.
Why evacuate?
