Calls for police to release the "manifesto" that authorities say was written ahead of Monday's Nashville school shooting has prompted concern among LGBTQ+ groups, who caution against the publication of such a document.
While many details remain to be unveiled about the massacre at The Covenant School this week, police have identified the shooter as 28-year-old Audrey Hale. On Monday, Hale, armed with two assault-style weapons—a rifle and a pistol—as well as a handgun, fatally shot three children and three staff members at the school before being killed by police.
Speaking at a press conference hours after the shooting, Metropolitan Nashville Police Chief John Drake, who said the shooter identified as transgender, confirmed that officials were in possession of a "manifesto," a map detailing how the incident would take place and writings "that pertain to this date, the actual incident."

Charles Moran, the national president of Log Cabin Republicans, a GOP organization that advocates for equal rights for LGBTQ+ Americans, also told Newsweek that there are "serious consequences" for the public release of the manifesto.

The shooter having another potential first choice location for her crimes provides some evidence that she was NOT molested or abused at the Covenant School back when she was enrolled. Many blame-the-victim types are pontificating on the “likelihood” that she was an abuse victim with no supporting evidence.

Serious consequences WILL occur if they do NOT release it. How about that one? I can be dead and gone and there will STILL be serious consequences for not informing the public of the murderous intent of these sinful transgender and perverts of other stripes. Who is going to be held responsible for what happens? Who?
There are firearms that are legally considered pistols but look like an AR-15. I’m no expert so I don’t try to follow the reasoning. In some cases the AR style pistol can jump through more ban loopholes than an AR rifle. All while looking, and functioning, in a similar manner (at least to my limited knowledge).

Judicial Watch or another similar organization will probably request a copy of it pursuant to that state’s public records law.
Do you think such a request can legally be denied? The shooter is known (no compromise of investigation, at least in terms of the immediate perp), and already dead (no privacy concerns).
