When it comes to parental bills of rights, not all legislation is created equal.
The House on Friday narrowly passed House Resolution 5, known as the Parents Bill of Rights Act, which would amend existing federal education laws. A Parental Rights Amendment to the U.S. Constitution also has been proposed.
Multiple pieces of proposed legislation at the state level seek broad protections for parents, using language such as to “direct the upbringing” of their children.

The proposed laws have fueled questions about the role parents should play in their children’s education. At the same time, they have fanned partisan flames, weaponizing a longstanding concept – parental rights – that academic experts and advocates alike say should not be politically charged.
So what’s driving all of this? Will Estrada, president of the Parental Rights Foundation, says the pandemic accelerated parents’ desire to have more say in children’s schooling, regardless of political inclinations.

It’s too soon to say how the proposals will fare during this lawmaking cycle. At the state level, most remain pending in legislatures, and at least six have failed this year. In prior legislative sessions, the bulk of them failed – with a few notable exceptions, such as in Florida, which in 2021 approved its version of a parental bill of rights. Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis also championed the Parental Rights in Education Act, which critics dubbed the “Don’t Say Gay” law, which his administration is now seeking to expand through 12th grade.

I think this is where these measures belong: on the state level. Federalism demands it.
A federal law like the one just passed by the House is a bridge too far.

FR: Never Accept the Premise of Your Opponent’s Argument
Militia training issues aside, the states have never expressly constitutionally given the feds the specific power to dictate policy for INTRAstate schooling. So vote-winning HR5 is arguably the usual ploy by career lawmakers to remain career lawmakers at the expense of unconstitutionally expanding the powers of the already unconstitutionally big federal government.
More specifically, noting that the words parents and education are not mentioned in the Constitution, the real problem with renegade schools imo is that federal lawmakers are not doing their jobs to make states respect the votes of taxpaying parents.
"Article IV, Section 4: The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government [emphasis added], and against Invasion; and on Application of the Legislature, or of the Executive (when the Legislature cannot be convened) against domestic Violence."
On one hand, we've got expansion of unconstitutional federal education laws imo. On the other hand, GOP is at least making noise about getting rid of the Education Department.

Whichever direction the winds of political correctness are blowing while career lawmakers continue to weaken constitutionally enumerated citizen voting power by letting non-popularly-elected government bureaucrats steal state powers to do lawmakers' dirty work for them.
Patriots, the bottom line is this imo. What is your threshold of “pain” for peacefully stopping unconstitutionally big state and federal governments controlled by bully, constitutionally undefined political parties, from oppressing the people under their boots?

All MAGA patriots need to wake up their RINO federal and state lawmakers by making the following clear to them.
If they don’t publicly support either a resolution, or a Constitutional Convention, to effectively "secede" ALL the states from the unconstitutionally big federal government by amending the Constitution to repeal the 16th (direct taxes) and 17th (popular voting for federal senators) Amendments (16&17A), doing so before the primary elections in 2024, that YOU will primary them.
If the proposed amendment was limited strictly to repealing 16&17A, relatively little or ideally no discussion would be needed before ratification of the amendment imo.
With 16&17A out of the way, my hope is that Trump 47 becomes the FIRST president of a truly constitutionally limited power federal government.
In the meanwhile, I'm not holding my breath for significant MAGA legislation to appear in the first 100 days of new term for what may still prove to be another RINO-controlled House.
In other words, primarying RINOs in 2022 was just for practice. Trump will hopefully do another round of primarying for 2024 elections.

Because the parents discovered without meaning to, what utter poison their children are being force fed.
A Parent has a right to control all government money aimed at the child and choose which school the child will attend.
As with any agenda, we must be clear if half-measures do or don’t advance the long range goal.
It a good start, but the teachers who have done these things need to lose all access to children.
Because murder is still illegal.
