Yup. Many haven’t a clue as to what a great candidate Pompeo would be. If they paid attention to his successes as Sec State and bothered to listened to dozens of his speeches and interviews, they would know who the man is.
DeSantis is put up by the Jeb wing of the Uniparty to take out Trump.
Nobody wants Trump but voters, and in this brave new world that doesn’t seem to be enough.

Unfortunately for America, there is a strong plurality of Republica primary voters who while have obviously gotten tired of winning, have most certainly not gotten tired of losing.
As it stands today, Trump is favored to win the GOP nomination. He will then be soundly defeated in the General Election, taking the House down with him and any chance of regaining the Senate.
