he may be safe from arrest in South Africa, but what about the trip there and back?

if any problem should happen to the plane and it needs to make a sudden landing in some country along the way, what if that country decides to enforce the international war crimes arrest warrant for Putin?

Putin would never make it back to Russia ...

It would be the same for if they tried to arrest Xi Jinping. Nuclear destruction.

Look at the countries along any potential flight routing between South Africa and Russia. There’s not a one that would hand Putin to the ICC.
