Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg (D) for the first time on Thursday addressed a claim by former President Trump that he would be arrested in connection to an investigation into a hush money payment made to adult film star Stormy Daniels, calling it the creation of a “false expectation.”
Bragg, in response to demands by House Republicans to force his testimony and turn over all documents and communication on the case, wrote in a letter to Congress that such a move was an “unprecendent[ed] inquiry into a pending local prosecution.”
“The letter only came after Donald Trump created a false expectation that he would be arrested the next day and his lawyers reportedly urged you to intervene,” Bragg wrote.

Bragg is actually correct on this one point, which isn’t trivial.
Just because Bragg is a dirtbag, in all other respects, doesn’t give Trump the right to mislead us, or call for potential riots unnecessarily on random days.
If you can’t see this basic point, your love for Trump exceeds your love for the truth. That is your prerogative, but be truthful about that as well. And don’t attack me just because I want anyone I support to be truthful.
You invite attacks by coming on this board with your constant crap about Trump then have the peanut sized stones to say you can’t ridiculed. Well, I just did. Your move.
Bragg is obviously wrong in what he is doing, but that doesn’t give Trump a blank check to do wrong as well. He shouldn’t be making up dates he will be arrested, or claiming they’ve even decided to indict him when they haven’t even voted yet. If you think that making up things is OK so long as it helps Trump, then you put Trump’s sake above the truth. I don’t. That’s all.
He didn’t say which Tuesday. There is still a good chance he was right, unless Bragg moves it to another day just to prove him wrong.

Ridicule obviously doesn’t bother me, because I’m a man of principles, and morals, which are often ridiculed. It didn’t use to happen here, as this site originally rose to prominence combatting Bill Clinton and his horrible morals, but that has changed now with Trump. Seems anything goes, so long as it somehow supports the man.
When the Deep State confronts a “Reality TV personality” who knows how to manipulate the media for his purposes during crisis moments, they find themselves out matched.
Trump’s false expectations regarding arrest are in essence looking Fat Alvin in the face and saying, “make my day.” Now Fat Alvin has blinked and seen in his mind how this could have been a platform for Trump to run against the Deep State, he is trying to figure out a way to defuse the situation into something that the Democrats can still use for campaign commercials and yet not become something that Trump can use for campaign commercials.
