And also from the CDC:

We are pleased to announce the launch of Together TakeMeHome (TTMH), a project with the goal of distributing up to 1 million free HIV self-tests over the next five years. People in the United States, including Puerto Rico, can order up to two free HIV self-tests every 90 days via a new online portal. Tests are available to anyone 17 years or older, regardless of health insurance or immigration status. TTMH is supported by CDC, in partnership with Emory University, Building Healthy Online Communities (BHOC), NASTAD, Signal Group, and OraSure Technologies. - https://www.cdc.gov/hiv/policies/dear-colleague/dcl/032123.html

And the NIH states : "We estimated an average lifetime HIV-related medical cost for a person with HIV of $420,285 (2019 US$) discounted (3%) and $1,079,999 undiscounted for a median 3-year diagnosis delay and 3% base dropout rate. Our discounted cost estimate was $490,045 in our most favorable scenario and $326,411 in our least favorable scenario."

While reducing HIV cases is good, as is fighting cancer, etc., yet by far the main means of contracting HIV is via sodomy [after about 40 years of seeking to prevent it, although only approximately 7% of adult and adolescent males reported having had male-to-male sexual contact at some point in their lives, 82% of HIV infections among males in 2018 were attributed to male-to-male sexual contact. And in 2019, 70% of all new HIV infections in the U.S. were among homosexual men, and 63% of all people in the US with HIV were homosexual men."Young gay and bisexual men accounted for 84% (5,161) of all new HIV diagnoses in people aged 13 to 24 in 2020," and "in 2019, among transgender adults and adolescents, the largest percentage (93%) of diagnoses of HIV infections was for transgender MTF, and  in 2019, diagnoses of HIV infection among adolescent and young adult males (85%) and females (12%) accounted for approximately 97% of HIV diagnoses (Table 8b)." And which practice (historically)  has resulted in a greatly increased incidence of other infectious diseases,   from Meningitis to Monkey pox and premature death. ]

Thus HIV transmission is almost fully preventable via change in behavior, yet unlike certain behaviors (from smoking to using fossil fuels), the government actually affirms the practice, and in response to the diseases that typically result, the government burdens tax payers in seeking to prevent as well as to treat it.

While Insurers can charge tobacco users up to 50% more than those who don’t use tobacco, (and certain high-risk behaviors as sky-diving can raise Life Insurance costs), yet since protected classes are no longer restricted to such non-moral aspects as race, skin color, national origin, etc. but includes psychological and (immoral) behavioral orientation, then rather having higher insurance premiums due to an unhealthy (homosexual) lifestyle, insurance companies and that of the government are required to pay costs for both prevention and care. And with the raise of the transgender right, then under the ACA gender can no longer be a factor in determining rates.

Of course, the government enabling an unhealthy practice is done in states providing free needles to drug addicts, though the CDC laments that Current federal law prohibits the use of federal funds to purchase sterile needles or syringes for the purposes of illegal use of drugs by injection.

The intent is to reduce diseases and deaths, yet by free needles facilitates continued drug use, though usually this is part of a program designed to help addiction overcome addiction.

However, providing Prep to those who practice sodomy is not part of any program to straighten out sexual addicts, and while it can reduce HIV, and thus treatments and deaths, yet it is still facilitating a practice which results in increased spread of other STD's, and besides which is immoral and deleterious to both individual and society.

God made man and women distinctively different yet uniquely compatible and complementary, and only joined them together in marriage - as the Lord Jesus Himself specified (Mt. 19:4–6) - and Scripture only condemns homosexual relations wherever they are manifestly dealt with.

And homosexual relations have been tragically primarily responsible for approx. 80% of new HIV cases among men and over 700,000 American deaths, though such is not even the decisive reason why homosexual relations are wrong.

Yet there is still room at the cross for all who will come to God in repentance and faith, and trust in the Divine Son of God sent by the Father, the risen Lord Jesus, to save them on His account, by His sinless shed blood, and thus be baptized and live for Him. Acts 10:36-47

Yet "As I live, saith the Lord God, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live: turn ye, turn ye from your evil ways; for why will ye die, O house of Israel [Sodom]? (Ezekiel 33:11) For as said, there is still room at the cross for all who will come to God in repentance and faith, and trust in the Divine Son of God sent by the Father, the risen Lord Jesus, to save them on His account, by His sinless shed blood, and thus be baptized and live for Him. So if I decide to eat well “marbled” sirloin three meals a day does that mean I get free cholesterol medications to counteract my stupidity?

The conspiacy theorist in me says they are doing this not for Gays and AIDS.

But for the HIV outbreaks that are looming due to the long term Vax side effects.

The advent of PrEP also, not surprisingly, accompanied the massive spike in other STD rates, mostly in homosexual men, due to the false sense of safety the medication gave to them.

So, now STD treatments must also be “free.” Lather, rinse, repeat.

Why should we have to pay other people to be a pain in the butt?

"In a move that is expected to prove transformative to the national HIV-prevention effort, the federal government has announced that almost all health insurers must cover the HIV prevention pill, known as PrEP, or pre-exposure prophylaxis, with no cost sharing — including for the drug itself and, crucially, for clinic visits and lab tests."

This entire farce is exactly farcical for numerous reasons.

I will start with the old adage, "you can lead a horse to water, ...." Just because a so-called "remedy" is made more available, that does not presuppose that the targeted problem population will avail themselves of the solution, or do so properly and effectively.

I will also say that I'm not convinced that PrEP is really as effective as the biased "researchers" lead on about. These types of studies are always plagued by the "Hawthorne effect," a description of study participants behaving much more carefully when they know they're being closely watched by the researchers. There have already been several breakthrough infections in people who were on PrEP, so the ballyhooed "100% effective" claims are not exactly correct, at least not in real life in the long term.

Additionally, perfect, or even effective, adherence is extremely rare in the population targeted for PrEP. After all, how can you expect responsible adherence to a medication regimen in a population irresponsible enough in their sexual behavior to require the preventative medication to begin with? Frequent missed doses leads to lower levels of the drug in the system, allowing subsequent exposure to HIV to get a foothold, even allowing it to mutate to a point of drug resistance, introducing a whole new problem.

Truvada can damage kidneys. Example case: a woman in New Mexico who contracted COVID in early 2020 and has been injected with the mRNA "vaccines" is having ongoing problems labeled "long COVID". She tried Paxlovid. Great results until 2 days following the last dose, then a HUGE rebound with symptoms far worse than her original COVID infections. Some weeks later, on the advice of a person who works with HIV infected people, she tried Truvada. It worked great. She improved enough to run 15 miles. Her doctor did a pre-test of her kidney function before starting the Truvada. A follow up check of kidney function showed a 30% decrease inside a two week time frame. She discontinued use of Truvada.

The lesson here is that Truvada works well, but may destroy your kidneys. It shouldn't be an OTC taken without monitoring of kidney function by a doctor.

Can the government force them to manufacture and actually bring the drug to market.???

If the government can force a business to operate at a loss, how long will the business survive while operating under that mandate.
