This number can only go higher, because that war is still ongoing with no end in sight.
But whatever the final figure might be, then we have to wonder who is supposed to pay for this rebuilding; how does the rebuilding get done and paid for?

I don’t see how we can pay for it and certainly not anyone else can/will.
BTW, how much do we spend on veterans? Probably not anywhere close to that much.

Did they include 10% for the big guy?

Not America’s problem.
Agreed. Russia broke it. Russia can pay to fix it.

Send the bill to Putin along with the arrest warrant. I like playing pretend 🤡👍

I’m sure Russia can afford it.

The war is a slugfest with neither side having a clear advantage and thus no end in sight unless a compromise peace treaty is brokered that lets both Putin and Zelensky claim some kind of win. That region has had so many wars before and there is now so much spilled blood and bad blood between the people that healing the wrongs seems lightyears away.
Without military aid Ukraine is obviously the weaker side, so giving military aid does two things: 1) It puts Ukraine in a better position militarily and at negotiating table and 2) If there is no peace deal then it just makes the more longer and more costly by keeping the sides more even.
The policy of giving aid to Ukraine but not pushing for a negotiated peace seems pure evil to me.

Russia will need to cede a lot of territory to Ukraine as reparations.

Russia started the war and they can end the war by leaving all of Ukraine including Crimea.

Only $5 billion for rubble removal? What if it’s radioactive? Could put a couple kids through college with that.
