Country singer Maren Morris joined a host of Tennessee drag queens Monday night in Nashville to protest recent state legislation aimed at barring children from drag shows. Morris used the occasion to dare local authorities to arrest her, saying she took her toddler to meet some drag queens earlier that day.

You beat me to it - I was going to say she was probably already out of the running for that because she’s a woman.
That’s a very logical argument. Unfortunately, the left doesn’t deal in logic or else we wouldn’t even be having this discussion. Every time I hear about this crap I’m reminded of a joke that I heard years ago about two male prison inmates, one new guy and the other has been there for a long time. The lifer ask the new guy in his cell if he wants to be the man or the wife. You know the rest.
Country music isn’t all that.

Country has gotten so 'disposable', that yeah, her putting her thumb on the negative side of the scales will provide karmic rebound soon enough, when she decides not to abort another life and the record company rapidly moves on to the next young girl.
She won't immediately understand why she's gone from the Opry to some 500-seater in Bumf-ck, or can't even get a summer festival underrole support gig anymore, and then one day it will dawn on her just like it did The Dixie Chicks, who are playing sub-10Ks and were forced to add openers like Jenny Lewis who has a freaky cult following worth at least 3K on her own (given she can sell out 3K venues -- I've seen her once by accident, she was playing Friday afternoon support at a weekend festival and the A Stage had a band I don't care for. Her fans are nucking futs.).
I saw another headline about that woman. It referred to her as a country music “star.”
I have never heard of her.
Of course, I haven’t bought an album in 20 or 25 years.
About that time a Nashville studio musician told me the country music industry’s target audience was females 12 to 22 years old.
It probably still is.
Call her bluff or lose credibility.
The girl is tetched.
Many country artists in the 90’s secretly despised the ones that bought their albums and went to their concerts. John Rich or Travis Tritt would tell ya.
It’s only gotten worse. The “country” that they are putting out these days isn’t worth the paper it’s written on. Hip-hop and rock crap that is homogenized and bland. Most of the singers are leftist loons.

Amen brother. Although there’s some good stuff still being produced. Chris Stapleton, Tyler Childers, Aaron Lewis, and a few others. But they seem to be few and far between nowadays. The ‘90s were pretty good too for the most part.
