Country singer Maren Morris joined a host of Tennessee drag queens Monday night in Nashville to protest recent state legislation aimed at barring children from drag shows. Morris used the occasion to dare local authorities to arrest her, saying she took her toddler to meet some drag queens earlier that day.

Just read yesterday about a tactic used at a university — of all places — to stop a drag event. Activists complained that drag was insulting to women and no different than blackface. The event was cancelled.
It’s a very good argument that needs to take hold...
Why do these women want to “die on this hill”? Seems like a really bizarre cause to be so passionate about. Do they hate their children that much?
A “Dixie Chicks” kind of move. Like them she’s a Corporate Nashville artist which is no longer real country music.
She’s a country singer? Who knew??
Country, as I grew up on, is dead.
You can’t spell country singer without 4 important letters
Her most popular video on Youtube that my (albeit very quick) search found was 440K views. Its called “My Church.” It seems to sum up her views
I’ve cussed on a Sunday
I’ve cheated and I’ve lied
I’ve fallen down from grace
A few too many times
But I find holy redemption
When I put this car in drive
Roll the windows down and turn up the dial
Can I get a hallelujah
Can I get an amen
Feels like the Holy Ghost running through ya
When I play the highway FM
I find my soul revival
Singing every single verse
Yeah I guess that’s my church
When Hank brings the sermon
And Cash leads the choir
It gets my cold cold heart burning
Hotter than a ring of fire
When this wonderful world gets heavy
And I need to find my escape
I just keep the wheels rolling, radio scrolling
‘Til my sins wash away
Can I get a hallelujah
Can I get an amen
Feels like the Holy Ghost running through ya
When I play the highway FM
I find my soul revival
Singing every single verse
Yeah I guess that’s my church
“Send CPS to rescue the child.”
At one time I would have agreed with that, but now I wonder if it would place the child in a trafficking situation.
Maren Morris lives in the wrong State.
Move to Hollywood, Philly or NY.
That all changed when obomination was elected in 2008.
Better yet, move to Canada or Europe!
If anyone has ever been to Nashville, even 4 or 5 years ago, compared to now, they would see a very different city than what they used to know.
It was taken over by liberal hipsters and the radical left some time ago. How it retains it’s “Country Music Capitol” image is beyond me.
The last mayor was a legit Leftist, the new one is even worse.
These things happen when the Chamber of Commerce and government officials do their best to recruit liberal companies to move their operations, especially the tech sector. They think it’ll be just a bunch of tech folks, with lots of disposable income. They never tell you about all the bad sh*t they bring with them.
I always heard that the unpardonable sin is blasphemy against the Holy Spirit. That sad woman might be beyond prayer.
Thanks. I’ll give it a listen. These days I put the Ernest Tubb channel on Pandora etc.
Right on OB.
It’s not so much the Sodomites that destroy the country. It’s those that SUPPORT the Sodomites that destroy the country. They both get the same reward in the end.
lol probably not.... maybe she’ll introduce her kid to some heroin addicts next....
Not true. Theres lost of new country thats “real”, you can hear the old stuff in the new stuff imho.
Current “country” musicians have destroyed the brand. The music and lyrics are awful and half of it sounds more like bubble-gum or rap music than anything else.
If I’m listing to country music, I’m listening to the music of 50s, 60s, 70s, and a little bit of the 80s.
It’s interesting to think about how back in the late 1970s, early 1980s period there were those who complained about country music being too Urban Cowboy with the pop sound (strings and horns and background choruses) and needed to go back to a more back to basics sound (this is what spurred the Neo Traditionalist movement of the mid to late 1980s). You think about that time compared to now and realize that that was a very different America back then, let alone country music (with this idiot making her headlines).
