President Biden participated in a second reception this week for the Democratic National Committee in Las Vegas, Nevada, where he urged those in attendance to take climate change more seriously.
Just one day after a fundraiser in Rancho Santa Fe, California, where Biden accidentally revealed a previously unknown detail about former President Jimmy Carter’s health, he made a number of off-the-cuff comments about climate change including one about the Colorado River drying up.
"You’re not going to be able to drink out of the Colorado River," Biden said to a crowd of about 60 people. He also likened climate change to nuclear war as a "truly existential threat" facing the country.
"Not a joke," the president added.

He continued: “This is serious stuff. It’s the single most dire consequence. If we don’t keep it below 1.5 degrees Celsius, not go above that, we’re going to damn our children to circumstances where we are the only, truly existential threat of nuclear war.

Xiden is evil, but not as stupid as some might think. The Colorado River has been failing to reach the Gulf of California at least since the ‘80s. Watch the media plaster pictures of the Colorado petering out on a dry riverbed and act like that’s “just now” happening, then claim this as “proof” of a “climate emergency.”

He obviously didn’t look out the window while he was here in Mexifornia. It’s been snowing and raining cats and dogs for weeks. I’m going to punch a greenie in the face if they try to tell me there’s climate change.

I’m more worried about the EPA contaminating Colorado rivers with millions of gallons of mine waste.
OK, I will bite since nobody else is. The gaffe here is that the Colorado River already dries up before it gets to the ocean (in Mexicali, MX), and it has nothing to do with climate change. The reason the Colorado dries up is because all the water is diverted to watering crops in its watershed and drinking water for LA.
They also ignore the solar minimum and solar maximum swings that have been going on forever.
The huge impact of the sun is totally ignored while the tiny impact of your driving habit is magnified.

Listening to Biden discuss Global Warming is like listening to a kindergartener explain quantum physics. His words, “not a joke”, always translate directly to: “I’m lying”. When his lips are moving, the only words at come out are either gibberish or lies.
I dunno. According to the headline, the Colorado dries up only during ritzy DNC dinners.
