SAN DIEGO (AP) — President Joe Biden is expected to sign an executive order on Tuesday aiming to increase the number of background checks to buy guns, promote better and more secure firearms storage and ensure U.S. law enforcement agencies are getting the most out of a bipartisan gun control law enacted last summer.
The Democratic president plans to unveil his latest efforts at curbing gun violence in a speech from Monterey Park, California, said a senior White House official, who discussed the order before its signing on the condition of anonymity. In January, a gunman stormed a dance hall in the community near Los Angeles and shot 20 people, killing 11, following a Lunar New Year celebration.

We have not had representation since the Republicrat party took over decades ago.
That should read #stink eye” not stinkers lol
Minnesota is going off the deep end on this
Gun in one locked box ammo in another in a different part of the house.
They are doing this because if you have time to get both and shoot the intruder you had time to retreat.
They are criminalizing gun ownership
Biden knows and fears the fact that the second amendment purpose is to protect the citizens from him
This whole idea of Executive Orders seems to be getting perverted by Biden.
He’s using it as an excuse to hand down tyrannical UNCONSTITUTIONAL liberal policies that are going to be shot down (pun intended) by the Supreme Court anyway.
Hopefully, the Bruen decision will make all of those gone soon.

Because nothing increases public safety like making firearm ownership more difficult for honest citizens while lunatics and career criminals are given increased freedom by leftist District Attorneys, courtesy of George Soros.
Of course. The purpose is lawfare. Since Biden directs the agencies, he certainly can slow down background checks and those rejected would have to spend money finding the reason they were rejected
I’m sure Biden is drawing up his no gun buy list for political adversaries. .
Uh oh. There’ll be a new SCOTUS ruling for him to ignore, then.
The plan will call on Attorney General Merrick Garland to shore up the rules for federally licensed gun dealers so they know they are required to do background checks as part of the license.”
As if they didn’t already know.
I wonder how he is going to make criminals who steal guns go through a background check.
At the end of the AP article, it is revealed that Biden is doing...basically nothing. He’s “calling on” Merrick Garland (who doesn’t head the ATF), to tell FFL holders they have to do background checks. What a revelation. From the article:
“Biden will mandate that his Cabinet work on a plan to better structure the government to support communities suffering from gun violence. The plan will call on Attorney General Merrick Garland to shore up the rules for federally licensed gun dealers so they know they are required to do background checks as part of the license.”
Suburban/rural White people with their scary black AR15s are mostly harmless.
Maybe, just maybe, I need one more gun.
Yep and all the criminals are going to follow Biden’s new rules. Yes-sir-ee! /s
Ok libs, now release the facts of how many of these criminal shooters actually owned guns that they purchased.
Please add me to your RKBA ping list. Thanks.
I sat on a grand jury last summer. The term was three months, 4 days a week. We would hear cases that were being sent to Superior court. Usually we would hear three or four cases a days. A very large percentage of those cases included firearm charges.
Over that three months we heard 120 cases. There was a single case for a murder using an AR15. Rifles are NOT the weapon of choice in our little urban corner of the world. I was almost all pistols that had been purchased on the streets.
I laughed and told my niece, the defense attorney, that she should tell her gang clients to spend $100, and get their LTC. Sure, they would lose their license when convicted the first time…but they would skip the 3 years in prison for illegal possession. Then it saves them 10 years for the second offense. Well worth the license fees.
