Russia is a dictatorship. All of the people who wanted to protest against him have already left the country. The rest of the people who've stayed are serfs. Just like they lived under the Soviets and the Tsars.

Yes and no - the Russians pretty quickly figured out that depleting West was the best approach. As for the Neocon plan - they figured that Russia wouldn’t go into Ukraine, and thus that Ukraine would successfully ‘purify’ their country of the 10 million or so Russian speakers. If that did happen, the entire Russian government would have been overthrown (Neocon wet dream coming true).
...however Russia did go in, but the Neocons were ready with Killer Sanctions!!! They just didn’t realize that it would be THEIR ECONOMIES, the economies of Europe, that would get destroyed by these ‘Killer Sanctions’.
...so now what? Even after 2 years, Russia will still have FULL ACCESS to China’s huge industrial base, thanks to the Neocon Taiwan policy (I have to hear any Neocon Cheerleader explain why they made us enemies with China).
So, time to check out, and ideally blame it all on Zelensky, or at least try.
