There is no recall option for Federal elected office-holders. Not in the Constitution and affirmed several times by Supreme Court.

>> Is it true two prepubescent boys were crushed in the incident?

That’s harsh.

Funny though!

Better McConnell than an appointment from Demonratic governor Andy Beshear.

At this point, I'm not so sure.

The Democrats have a +1 nominal majority right now, even though the real balance is 49-48 with Fetterman, Feinstein, and now McConnell in the hospital. McConnell's stay is likely going to be short (unless he has something like a hip fracture), so the Senate will be tied at 49-49 given the chronic nature of Feinstein's and Fetterman's conditions.

So replacing McConnell with a Democrat won't matter much in the already Democrat-controlled Senate, but it will give us a chance to put a new Republican into the Senate in 2024.

Okay, I just read that McConnell is out with a concussion.

I guess he might be out for a week or so, but he'll still be back faster than Feinstein or Fetterman.

Couldn't get another RINO to sit out any Senate votes, so he had to do it himself.

What do you bet McConell is released the same day as Feinstein?

(Or Fetterman)

Correct. Congressmen and Senators can be removed via a 2/3 majority of the body to which they belong. All other federal officials can be removed by impeachment by the House of Representatives followed by conviction via a 2/3 majority vote of the Senate. There is no provision for states or voters to remove a federal official from office

Well, I’d be much cooler with the thought of him resigning for 2024 than mid-term. Don’t forget: when it comes to state races, Kentucky’s a little purple. No need to give a Democrat the advantages of incumbency.

It’s time for him to be arrested for corruption.

The GOP legislature removed his authority to appoint a Demonrat when Mitch vacates the seat.

Say what you want about Mitch. If it wasn’t for Mitch, Merrick Garland would be on the Supreme court.

Well look. I may have been wrong bout McConnell.

He still seems to have bounce in his step.

"Better McConnell than an appointment from Demonratic governor Andy Beshear."

Yep. Miotch isn't going anywhere until Gov. Cameron is ready to appoint himself to Miotch's seat.

Some of you all are overreading this -- Miotch has a history of being clumsy, particularly tripping (he should give up wingtips, not even the best Italian-made wingtip will give you the true 'feel of the road').

He fell forward, not backwards. But he must have had a plate or a drink in his hand and so he didn't brace for impact.

Now ask yourself, the man doesn't have a brain, so really there's nothing to injure. This is truly just an observational pause in the hospital, ruling out hematoma, etc.; sorry to rain on the FRacebooking parade, but it is what it is.

Retire just because you fall down?

Why... things like this might affect Biden!
