Filmmaker Michael Moore has called for a nationwide boycott of Walgreens after the pharmacy chain announced it would not sell abortion pills in 20 states.
In February, 20 Republican state attorneys general wrote to Walgreens Corp. threatening legal action if Walgreens provides the abortion pill, mifepristone, to consumers in their pharmacies across the U.S.
On Thursday, Walgreens shifted its plan, sharing that it will not dispense mifepristone in their states and is not planning to ship the drug to consumers either.
Following the announcement, Moore, on his website, urged readers to boycott Walgreens, characterizing them as a pharmacy chain that "stands with anti-abortion extremists against the rights of women."

A suit was filed to force the chain to sell the drugs. It got all the way to the US supreme court who denied certiorari. The lower court's findings (in favor of the claimant) stood.
The state of Washington then threatened to pull the license of that particular pharmacy (not all pharmacies) for refusing to sell the pill. Washington's attorney general's office and Department of Health were long weaponized before that became fashionable.

The leftist view is that pharmacies are required to provide abortion pills.
The idea that some places may not provide these supplies, is a foreign concept to these activists. To them it is mandatory that all pharmacies provide these supplies. Otherwise they are bigoted, hate women, want women impaled on coat hangers, the whole 9 yards.
And if the people who run Walgreens are intimidated by all of this, they may relent on their policy so they won’t be a Michael Moore target.

Thanks for letting me know. Walgreens is my pharmacy of choice - now I have another reason to shop there.
We ought to boycott McDonalds, Pizza Hut, Taco Bell etc. for serving jaba the moore enough food to feed thousands of the hungry.
