not in Vegas!

I had no ID on me when I tried to get back into my room, as I had just switched pants and my wallet was not on me. (I had gone back to the parking garage to get more luggage)

TWO mean looking male employees came to my door as I stood there and they believed NOTHING I said until when they opened the door and led me to my travel pants and I was able to produce my drivers license.

At that their whole demeanor changed, expressing a warming welcome to Vegas and to their hotel and “We hope you have good luck at the tables.”

Exactly - this is what happens when you hire H2-B seasonal workers with limited grasp of English - it has been SOP at hotels for at least a decade.

Curious but did any of these women use the deadbolt and chain? May be time to invest in the doorstop alarms.

The driver was probably terminated.

I got one Door Dash driver fired by contacting the legal department. She arrived to my building, my staff signed her in, she made the delivery, stole a waiting Amazon package from a nearby unit, removed the contents, and walked out. Even got her make, model, and plate number. Got it all on video.

Bish was arrested, too, when I handed everything over to the police.

Amazon replaced the package.

"Police can compare with known-offenders’ fingerprints.

...Unless he’s an Illegal...(!)..."

I've never read whether we (Border Patrol) fingerprint, photograph, DNA, retina scan these illegals that we're just flying and bussing around our United States. We're just turning them loose with years of sanctuary hearings backlog.

Just a mugshot and fingerprints could be handy because we not getting the best or brightest from a hundred countries.

At Twin Arrows Navajo Casino Resort in Flagstaff AZ in 2016. Quiet and comfortable stay until one day at 6:00 a.m. when we were awakened to the sound of our door banging open against the little last-ditch latch/lock. I leaped out of bed thinking we were about to be robbery victims. Fortunately it turned out that it was just a little old man who was confused, drunk, or both after spending the night in the casino. He said that he had lost his key and didn’t have his wallet with him, and that the front desk had given him a new key to our room number, which he erroneously thought was his.

In other words, he was telling us that with no ID presented the front desk gave him a key to our room.

We immediately called the front desk, who expressed no concern whatsoever about someone having almost entered our room. Told us to call back later to talk to the desk supervisor.

So next we contacted security, who also didn’t seem too concerned, and said someone would come up to “check it out”. After 45 minutes nobody had come by, so we called security again. Their response was “Oh, nobody’s come by?”. Sorry to wake you up guys, but isn’t this the kind of thing that you’d be interested in?

An hour and a half after the incident a security guard moseyed by to recode the lock and have me fill out an incident form. Somehow that didn’t make us feel any safer. As far as providing any sort of effective response to the actual incident, there was none. Barney Fife would have done better.

Then we went downstairs to discuss the incident with the front desk supervisor, who again didn’t seem too concerned about it. I had to ask her if she realized what a big deal it was to have guests broken in on, because her completely lackadaisical attitude was infuriating.

She eventually said she’d comp us 1 night (seemed she was trying to shut us up because there were other guests nearby).

Dress like that is bound to draw a rise out of many, near and close.

When I read Twin Arrows I immediately thought of Twin Rocks restaurant in Bluff, UT.

They have the best cheeseburger there! The bun is Navajo fry bread.’

YUMMY!

Safety lock. Sixty pound of force maximum? Even if the chain doesn't break the mounting plates are not anchored well. Use something like this:

Shame it wasn’t his dick that got severed, but even losing a finger might make him rethink his life choices.

Years ago, there was a flight attendant who checked into a hotel. The clerk gave her the room number out loud and a man who had been following her who overheard.

He ran up the stairs to her floor and when she put the key in the lock/used the keycard, he pushed her in the room and spent the entire night sexually assaulting her and stabbed her over a hundred times. (There was a Dateline or 20/20 episode on this.)

Now, hotel workers will not read out your room number when you check in - they point it out on your card and close it so no one can see. If someone reads your room number out loud, demand another room.

When I flew, I was always overly cautious - there are other horror stories with hotels. Now, they are putting homeless, illegals and other unknowns in hotels. Be careful out there.
