The city of Monterey has decided to apply a new rule to a purposed cell tower ordinance Thursday.

The proposed ordinance would limit cell equipment to mostly commercial and industrial areas, residential areas will only be considered if wireless companies could prove the tower is necessary to provide service.

According to county official’s, residents demanded the ordinance to include a 100-foot setback from homes, which was approved by the city council.

Officials say that the ordinance will have to go back to the council for a final reading.

Cell companies should immediately choose to not put up any towers or sites in that city and perhaps consider removing what’s there or taking them out of service. When the residents complain about lack of service, point them at the ordinance and offer them microcells for their home or business at the residents’ own expense.

This problem is just getting started. Caused by the 5G system. It’s shorter range so is creating service gaps all over the place particularly rural areas. Our local geniuses have already figgered out that emergency services can’t reach like they used to and now want 5 million new dollars to pad the system with. Didn’t think to ask ATT for the difference. And, Oh yeah-—never mind about the brain cancer?

Where I work just about everyone would love a cell tower. There is zero service except in one or two spots on the entire property.

Between being in a small valley and a school purposefully built on a high hill for reasons no one really understands, can’t win.

When I need to make a cell call for various reasons a land line isn’t practical, I sometimes feel like a modern day Oliver Wendell Douglas going through grief to use a phone.

Get a microcell for your workplace and/or turn on WiFi calling.

What a bunch of idiots. For-profit companies do not put expensive cell towers for shits and giggles, they do it to provide a service that consumers will pay for. This is just another lefty shakedown.

How about this? Cell companies start removing base stations entirely from every town that hassles them about tower placement.

If up to me, I would have jammers used to disable cell phones for all NIMBY neighborhoods.

The FCC has tools for such eventualities.
You’d find yourself in VERY deep kimchee.

I didn’t say I’d do it...more of a policy that would be done by the service providers.

And yes, I read up on jammers, if you have one, you need to hope whoever sold it to you doesn’t get ‘encouraged’ to rat you (and other customers) out, once they’re caught.

I have friends who have to go to their backyard to make a cell call. I wouldn’t buy a house in such a location.

Yeah 5G is very dangerous.

Not to mention it builds China’s database on every citizen.

They will need it when they colonize the USA

Yes, that’s their plan.
