I don't agree. Are they the peak of competitive performance? Well, no, generally not (though some, gymnastics for example, are exceptions). But I don't want to see women removed from sports. Women who are inclined to participate in sports should have the opportunity to have that experience, to learn the lessons of being a team, dealing with adversity, focusing on goals, all of that. To have some dude walk in and laugh in their faces and say 'all that work you did was for nothing, I'm not good enough to compete as a man but I'm better than you at this and always will be. You have no chance' is enraging.
I hope this POS someday gets the self awareness to look at his trophies and see that each one is really a collection of dead dreams of the girls he cheated.
I don't want to see women removed from sports, either. But I do want to see women's sports removed from any platform that is covered by civil rights laws and/or "public accommodation" considerations.
Let's take modern feminists at face value. If women can compete with men on equal terms in the upper reaches of government and corporate management, then they should be able to compete with them in sports, too.
