If President Joe Biden’s 2024 reelection campaign were an airliner, he’d have finished fueling, received clearance from air traffic control — and, to the frustration of his passengers, still be sitting on the ground.
For months, the White House has been teasing an announcement that Biden will run again in 2024. Also for months, the White House has refused to confirm that he will.
The latest strong hint that Biden is ready for lift off — yet as usual leaving wiggle room — came from First Lady Jill Biden in a series of interviews with US media during a visit to Namibia and Kenya last week.

Biden said, “I’ve got the runs”!
Not “I’m going to run”.
But he has already forgotten what he was talking about.

If he says he isn’t running, he immediately becomes a lame duck that no one will care about openly (as opposed to now where no one cares about him politically but can’t say so openly), a la LBJ in 1968.
If he says he IS running, he immediately becomes the target of everyone who doesn’t want him to run, either because they’re afraid Trump will get more-votes-than-fraud-can-cover with a redux of the last election, and/or because they want someone who really believes in Marxist wokeism and is young enough to appeal to Millennials/Zers.
So the best move for him right now is to say nothing, and hope no one notices. Unfortunately, everyone is noticing.

Nah. No one cares about the 2024 election right now. They just assume it will be a rematch of two old geezers.
The Dems will lose their collective minds if he doesn’t run. The Millenials and Gen Z kids have never witnessed a shit show of that type.
It may not happen. There is increasing interest on one Gavin Newsom (even though he’s much disliked by the Right).
I’m the only one on planet earth that can’t believe he’s going to run. Too much risk, can’t hide him for two more years. Honestly, Sanders was going to take the nomination if the deep state Dems didn’t back Biden as their pawn. I can’t imagine other Dems believing that Biden is a strong candidate, even marginal Dems may feel this is their best opportunity for the nomination.
How could he not run. He got by far the most votes ever in history by a very large margin
Interesting that Jill is the source. Joe will suspect he is running after she tells him about twenty times, or sees his aides setting out the lawn chairs.
