Trump targets Fox News for ‘promoting’ DeSantis ‘so hard and so much

Former President Trump renewed his attacks on Fox News this week, accusing the network of underplaying a new poll showing him with a double-digit lead on Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis in a potential 2024 Republican presidential primary match-up.

Trump, in reference to the Fox News poll published Sunday that showed him leading DeSantis by 15 points in a hypothetical match-up, knocked the media giant for “promoting” DeSantis “so hard and so much that there’s not much time left for Real News.”

“Reminds me of 2016 when they were pushing ‘JEB!’ The new Fox Poll, which have always been purposely terrible for me, has ‘TRUMP Crushing DeSanctimonious,’ but they barely show it,” Trump wrote. “Isn’t there a big, beautiful, Network which wants to do well, and make a fortune besides? FAKE NEWS!”

Dear Donald: Right On! Don’t just double-down on deSantis, triple-down.. heck, quintuple-down.

Controlled-opposition questionable-big-donors 2020-Steal-aloof deSantis is going nowhere.

Trump is right to point out how Fox is trying to manipulate its audience.

Rupert Murdoch is a godless and amoral person who will do anything to earn profits. DeSantis is his chosen puppet.

Someone should tell Trump that Fox’s focusing on DeSantis is probably very good for him.

2016, lots of GOP opposition. Worth the price of admission as Trump mowed them down like a tommy-gun. Especially Jeb. Oh, I liked that.

2020, no GOP opposition. Ho-hum. Then the Lying Left just stole it.

2024, back to GOP opposition. Back to getting the popcorn and enjoying the show. Nobody mows ‘em down like Trump. I think RDS is emerging as GOPe’s golden boy. I think Trump will skewer them all like he did in 2016. Is RDS the new Jeb? Dunno. But so far, I don’t trust him.

This IS one of the primary issues

Its a personal issue.

Trump will do better by attacking Democrats and issues than getting into this constant sniping with other Republicans' press coverage.

He needs to be pounding Biden and all of the socialist plans his puppetmasters have.

Initially, I thought Romney and Ryan would be great leaders, I was dead wrong. I think I’ll keep my powder dry for a while.

uhhhh Fox News IS focusing.....on Ron DeSantis!
President Trump is playing “ Pop the bubbles”.... clearing the pathway....
ONCE they are out of the way he WILL focus on the issues. This has been his pattern.

The only time for party infighting is during primary season. Otherwise, what you said.

Whatever happened to “fair and balanced”?

Answer...gone as of mid-2017. What happened in January, 2017?

Oh yeah, Trump became president.

Fox is CNN-Lite.

Yeah, tell Trump to stop being Trump.

But that’s what people love. Trump being Trump.

Nobody wants another cautious politician worried about all the politically-correct b.s.

Let ‘er rip. That’s Trump and lots of Americans like me love it.

To hell with the damn politicans.

“ Its a personal issue”

When people realize trump works for us the world is clear for them. Look at who promotes DeSantis. Who funds this guy to run for pres on a governors salary with a family to raise

They want their billionaire cash so desperately. Trump isn’t the oligarchs’ puppet and this is why they are trying to get rid of him.

DeSantis has basically never worked in the private sector. He has no idea what real life is like.

Don is focusing on the issue that matters most to Don, and in case you have trouble keeping up, that issue is Don.

Of course Don is wrong in his perception of coverage:

the three cable TV networks — including MSNBC, CNN, and Fox News — mentioned Trump 4,894 times the first five weeks of the year, compared to just 852 times for DeSantis. On Fox News from Jan. 1 through Feb. 5, Trump held an edge of 836 mentions to 244 mentions for DeSantis.
