Former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice warned on Sunday that potential 2024 GOP presidential contenders who have called for the U.S. to pull back its support for Ukraine in its war with Russia should be careful with their words.
During an appearance on CBS’s “Face The Nation,” moderator Margaret Brennan asked Rice about recent remarks from former President Trump and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) criticizing the U.S. for its robust support for Kyiv.

Begone! Away you Bush Crime Family stooge.
She could be Mustachioed John’s [John the Warmonger] VEEP.
Is it time to quote Joan Baez yet? “The only way to stop the fighting is to stop the fighting.”
(Said one liberal to other liberals a “few” years ago.)
Was always an idiot
Heard it for 20 years in AFG & IRQ; “Fighting them over there so we don’t have to fight them here.”
7,000+ dead kids.
Every president since Reagan (34 years) has been a traitor (save Trump).
I’m a Navy sub vet. My grandson is 8, I won’t help him or support him joining the military 9 1/2 years from now.
I wonder how much she gets in kickbacks from Zelenskyy, and how much stock in Military Industrial Complex companies she has
Remember when FReepers salivated over Rice and Bush throughout the 2000s? We were totally lied and conned.
Don’t tell me - “If we don’t don’t fight em there we’ll have to fight em here” am I right?
How about we try it for awhile and see how it goes.
Condoleezza Rice should be quietly volunteering at a veterans hospital along with Bush II and Cheney.
But I guess she scrubbed enough Iraq War blood off her hands, and is ready to push for another war.
Wasn’t me
Rove, you magnificent bastard!
A better indicator of her vested financial interest in the war is to look at her stock holdings and trades prior to the beginning of hostilities. How much did she purchase before and since the invasion, as well as how much has she been paid as a lobbyist or guest speaker for corporations profiting from the war.
Sorry, Condi, but we Americans are sick and tired of us worrying about other countries’ borders but not OURS! If you want to go to war, Condi, be my guest. My kids won’t contribute to your war!
This is the bulls**t argument of neo-cons and warmonger Democrats since time immemorial.
“If we don’t fight them over there, we will have to fight them here.” This was the big saying in Vietnam and a lot of other crappy little wars. Since we retreated from Vietnam, I’ve been very concerned about those North Vietnamese executing folks in my neighborhood.
Perhaps our best path is to not try to fix all the misery in the world. There’s a lot of it everywhere, and I’m not willing to send my sons to die for it.
Ukraine is a European problem. Until we are directly attacked, it ain’t our business...
Maybe if we stopped pouring hundreds of millions of dollars to Zelensky, he’d get his ass to the negotiating table. Everyone knows he’s skimming 90% of the US money right off the top. A good share of that is going back to the Dem party.
She sounds like Susan Rice.
First gen neocon
