The video, which has been digitally manipulated to show a text crawl at the bottom with figures of Ukrainian deaths, is actually from a climate change protest in Austria. The original video, which can still be viewed online, was filmed by Austrian news outlet OE24 in Ballhausplatz, Austria on Feb. 4, 2022, just a few weeks before Russia’s invasion of Ukraine on Feb. 24, 2022. And no one was trying to pass it off as being from Ukraine until it entered the right-wing media ecosystem.

It’s worth noting that this report came from Forbes. Forbes was at one time a trusted and respected news source. Sadly, no longer. The tipsy guy standing on your local street corner is now just as good.
Why do I say that? The majority shareholder of Forbes is now a company based out of Hong Kong. Draw your own conclusions.
Well, I've seen plenty of so-called "right wingers" engage in wideespread deception and grifting. That said, they tend to be freaks. There's one on Twitter who calls himself a "Communist Conservative." But considering there are Putinists on this very forum who continually post links to people who even support the North Korean regime, maybe there are a lot more "communist conservatives" than we might be aware of.
On twitter, the leftwing appears to be split between the far left (like normal communists concerned with how racist the USA is and destroying "American hegemony"), but also a strange segment of communists who are actually just Neo-Nazis or former Neo-Nazis obsessed with "conservative values". They think Stalin and the USSR were "traditional" and masculine or some such stupid s***.
Bottom line, there are a lot of freaks around, and, unfortunately, there are some "conservatives" who are operating as propagandists for the Russian regime.
I would argue none of this latter group are really conservative or patriotic, but that's just my opinion on the inside. On the outside, you have a freak and a grifter who calls himself conservative and posting non-stop Russian propaganda. What else can you call him?

And it’s interesting that the Forbes article doesn’t give us a link to the purported modified video but merely a purported screenshot. But I notice from some of the comments above, the article was enough to get some of our resident Other People’s Money Zelensky supporters riled up.
From what I’ve seen, the American “left” is in lockstep support of Zelensky and his regime. They are, of course, augmented by the neocons and the mob of gullible useful idiots.
That doesn't mean much considering your historic tendency of being wrong about anything, hence your complete ignorance of folks like Greenwald (even appears on Tucker), Jimmy Dore (again, appears on Tucker despite being a far leftist), Noam Chomsky and an entire gaggle of leftists, BLM freaks, anti-semitic Muslims and outright communists in various colleges/organizations who are anti-Ukraine and Pro-Russia.
When Biden and Zelensky had their press conference outside, he was there too. It’ was closer up.
