The Ontological Incoherence of American Imperial Exceptionalism (of War Vampires)
Ron Paul Institute ^ | 2/24/2023 | william schryver

Posted on 02/25/2023 9:14:00 AM PST by frithguild

The inherently disharmonious nation-state currently assigned the toponym “Ukraine” on maps of Europe is incontrovertibly an artificial construction of relatively recent origin. The socio-political and cultural facts underlying this reality were ably exploited by the Germans in the Second World War when the Nazis successfully recruited large numbers of its western inhabitants (primarily from Galicia) to join them in a war of annihilation against the Poles, the Jews, and the more numerous and prosperous “Muscovites” who inhabited the agriculturally fertile and substantially industrialized regions of historical Novorossiya.

This was the polity within the geographic region known as the Ukraine that, beginning as early as the immediate aftermath of the war, was systematically cultivated by the Anglo-American western hegemon as a disruptive force to undermine Soviet power ...

And in the aftermath of the fall of the Soviet Union which occasioned the rise of the global American empire, this was the polity that was methodically groomed to eventually become a disposable proxy for imperial designs which explicitly aspired to dismember Russia and despoil its nearly limitless natural resource treasures.

Any set of arguments aiming to dispute this interpretation of events is demonstrably erroneous, logically fallacious, and historically revisionist – ...

My point for now is that Moeini’s characterization of what happened since 2014 as Ukraine exercising its own agency to effect a geopolitical gambit against Russia is a tortured misrepresentation of the facts.

The reality is that the ruling junta in Ukraine – raised to its principality by imperial intrigues – was cunningly seduced into believing it was uniquely capable of becoming the tip of the empire’s spear to slay, once and for all, the subhuman “Muscovites” who had long-dominated the left bank of the Dnieper River, Crimea, and the regions bordering the Black Sea. ***

Twenty-three years after Britain recognized American independence they tried to revoke it with much the same reasoning.

You mean when the US attacked Canada without any heed to the capabilities of the British and their likely response? The irony has obviously flew past you too fast for you to see.

No...true Neo-Cons are only against US military involvement.

That leaves out almost everybody previously known as Neo-Cons.

Their support is clear, they are pro Russia and China and anti American

Riiight . . .

The Russians have mindlessly smashed themselves to pieces against an entrenched well-armed force. It's going on right now in places like Marinka, Vohledar, and even Bakhmut.

NATO apparently doesn't care, however that tens of thousands of Ukrainians are dying at the same time.

While this was an extremely exhaustingly long read and I had to backtrack multiple times, I am glad I read it to the end.

My beloved has said from the get-go that we stepped into a big pile of our own making and that we have/had no idea of long Russia can go in this endeavor.

Both the Brits and Americans have had a problem making folks live in artificially designed countries and sooner or later it will indeed bite us in the ass.

Not to mention, this particular endeavor in the Ukraine (in my own belief) has a hello of a lot more to do with hiding the millions upon millions of graft embraced by those in power in the Ukraine and of course those from the dEmocrat party as well as RINO/NEOCon traitors.

Still, such a long read.....

Characterize it how you wish - if we disagree we can trade barbs over casualty statistics and other shimmering siren songs while countless more lose everything. Seriously, what can NATO achieve with, as Zaluzhny told us months ago, 200,000 fighting men with the capabity to make times fewer artillery blasts than the other side while being short on tanks, armored vehicles and ammunition?

you can draw a line through Zhitomir and Vinnista and everything to the right if that is basically Russian

Right, that's why Ukrainians are fighting so ferociously against Putin's invasion a year later, because most of them are "Russians". Unbelievable

The Ruids, as you call them, were the foundation stone for the Ukrainian, Belarusian, and Russian cultures & nationalities.

Nothing I have said should be interpreted as me being for or against the Russians or the Ukrainians.

The USSR (Stalin) moved a lot of ‘native’ people around to stifle dissent. For example, many Tartars from Crimea, many Cossacks from Ukraine and Volga area. The descendants have no more forgotten their native lands then the Jews have forgotten theirs.

I'll take only minor issue with this. If you group Galicia, Volhynia, Transcarpathia, Zapporizian Cossaks, Don Cossaks and the Crimean Hetmanate under the same "Borderlands" nationality (first in existence in 1922) and culture, we can quibble. Ukraine as Kievan Rus existed long before Russia.

With this I can quibble more. Kiev as a trading city was burnt to the ground and its entire population, men, women and children, were slaughtered by the mid 13th century Mongol Invasions. No city within the present confines of the borders of modern Ukraine were spared. East of the Dneiper became the Wild Fields because of slave raiding, etc. So there really isn't enough continuity to put meat on the "Ukraine as Kevian Rus" phrase as you employed it.

Whenever I see “Ontological” used in a sentence, 90% of the time the author is an over educated idiot.

Linear time is not a concept with you Russia bots, is it?

I know it’s news to you people but 2014 came before 2022 and the US and Britain went to war before the US attacked the British in Canada.

The Soviet Union dissolved. Ukraine wants to remain independent and become more free. Russian dictators want to conquer other countries and establish another evil empire.
