The Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) estimates more than 43,000 fish and other aquatic animals have died as a result of the train disaster in East Palestine, Ohio, earlier this month.
ODNR director Mary Mertz announced Thursday that roughly 38,222 minnows and about 5,550 other aquatic animals — such as small fish, crayfish, amphibians, and macroinvertebrates — were killed in the 5-mile span of waterway from the derailment site.

Where’s PETA?
Safe and effective.
Well, ‘effective’ anyway. Just like the mRNA jab.
And windmills.
That's right, it was during the sainted Obama administration, all the fishies that died were flushed right into the old memory hole, leaving behind only the sound of a gigantic flushing toilet.
If that disaster had happened during a Republican administration, the MSM and the EPA would have held a state funeral for each individual fish.
But wait! It was the EPA that caused the release of three million gallons of heavy-metal-laden wastewater from a mine that was just sitting there doing nothing! Turned the river solid yellow for miles!
And the EPA worries about puddles in farmers fields
I wouldn’t worry about it until it exceeds 45,000
Sounds just like the $hot $hills!
:-)
had this happened under TRump, and he ignored the problem like the left is doing- the media would have lost their minds over it- but of course, because it’s biden, the media cover up for him by never mentioning palestine again-
38,000 of them minnows. *yawn*
But the ODNR isn’t concerned in the least for a 750 football fields solar installation. What’s in the solar panels ODNR? That’s right, they don’t care to find out.

I caught my first fish out of the Animas River at Farmington NM back in 1956.
What a fantastic experience to have had!
Someone counted the minnows?....
This FIASCO has EXPOSED just how POLITICAL the “GREENIES” are!! They don’t CARE since it happened under Biden.
43,000 animals that they know of.
So, what was that oily residue that J.D. Vance stirred up in the creek bottom?
I’ve stirred up little bits of creek bottoms, and ditto for lakes and ponds, many a time, and often pretty “gunky” and even a few times smelly stuff is freed up, but I never saw anything quite like that.
