In person, at registered location, vetted with photo ID?
Bullets, but not ballots?

There many cartridges that are only available online because they or obscure or obsolete, or just not available and it would be impossible and impractical for any shop to carry every cartridge.

It sounds like the criminals are generally low I.Q. if some of them can’t even figure out to match the ammunition caliber with the gun. Not too surprising. But the proposed legislation we know has nothing to do with restricting the activities of criminals.

SOOOOOO-— Politician has sons who are criminals-—NOT just charged-—convicted & served time......SOLID FACTS

NO respect for laws—Apparently MAMA doesn’t respect the OATH she took when sworn in, either.

Kids are a hot mess—So EMPLOYERS SHOULD NOT BE ABLE TO USE CRIMINAL BACKGROUND CHECKS??????

POUND SAND, MADAM-—YOU are much more of a problem than a solution.

Not what I meant. Guess I wasn't clear ...

A normal armed citizen will usually load his weapon with all the same brand and type of ammunition. (Some folks handle shotguns differently ...) The article I read stated that criminals frequently have a variety of different brand and bullet type ammunition in their weapons; they often load up with whatever they can scrounge.

The proposal would establish the licensing of ammunition dealers who then would be required to confirm the identity of customers seeking to purchase ammo by verifying a valid photo I.D. in person.

And a racist to boot. Everyone knows that blacks can't get picture IDs to vote. So this is aimed directly at oppressing blacks. (/sarc)

They tried this law already. In the ‘80’s you had to sign for pistol ammunition. It did absolutely nothing to stop crime.

Hey, now....Give the lady her props. At least she hasn’t hired the boys as consultants, with 5 figure incomes. That we know of, anyway.

I’ve known white 20-somethings that were somewhat ammo challenged. One was talking about her CZ-75 Luger, the other, a .40 cal Springfield XD made by Smith&Wesson. Hey...they said “Luger” and “Smith&Wesson” right there on the gun.

All they gotta do is add “ and liquor” to the bill and all those drunks would see that bill to the trash bin in an hour.

As you know, the ban on online gun and ammo sales in Commiefornia has not reduced gun crime one single iota especially in SoCal. Regardless, you can still find a LGS that sells ammo priced reasonably.

The governor of Massachusetts, Thomas Gage, tried something like this, the result was Lexington and Concord.

...you beat me to it...! yes, 7.62 X 25 rounds are almost impossible to find at the gun shows I have recently attended, and so, too with the popular 9 X 18 Makarov (”Mah-KAR-ov” this being the correct pronounciation...) rounds as well....can usually find some on-line vendor who has them, but even there sometimes not....

Oh. I was imagining some dumb crook with a hodgepodge of ammo thinking (or not thinking) that any wrong, randomly-selected ammo would somehow fit his gun.

I just took my Godson to the range the other day. He went though about 100 rounds with my CZ52. It was fun watching him flounder at the start, then tighten his grouping with each reload.

hah ... Some of ‘em are so dumb they might do that if it were physically possible ...

Aside from stuffing a .380 ACP cartridge in a 9mm mag, I’m hard pressed to think of an example. The .380 would probably feed but would not fire.

Now ya got me thinking ... 9mm in a .40 mag? .40 in a .45 mag?
