Putin says Xi will visit Russia amid US warnings over Ukraine

Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Wednesday that Chinese President Xi Jinping will visit Moscow, just days after the U.S. warned that Beijing may increase support for Russia’s war in Ukraine.

“We are expecting the President of the People’s Republic of China in Russia,” Putin said during a visit from China’s top diplomat, Wang Yi, on Wednesday.

On Saturday, Secretary of State Antony Blinken accused China of “strongly considering” providing Russia with “lethal assistance” for its war in Ukraine, which is set to reach the one-year mark on Friday.

Blinken reportedly warned Wang against such a move when the two met in Munich over the weekend, and U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Linda Thomas-Greenfield noted on Sunday that China would face “consequences” for making that “unfortunate decision.”

However, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Wang Wenbin hit back at the U.S. on Monday, noting the U.S. “has been pouring weapons into the battlefield.”

“The U.S. is in no position to tell China what to do,” Wenbin said at a press briefing. “We would never stand for finger-pointing, or even coercion and pressurizing from the U.S. on our relations with Russia.”

China needs to be sanctioned. It’s also time to support independence for the free people of Taiwan.

Gee, that’s a nice “most favored nation” trading status you got there. It would be a shame if something happened to it.

“China needs to be sanctioned.”

China can sanction the United States into economic collapse.

Without Chinese products, Walmart would be reduced to a food section and Amazon would have to survive on selling books and some CDs. Hundreds of thousands of Americans would die if China sanctions chemicals needed to make life-saving drugs.

Trump’s efforts to MAGA were thwarted in DC.

Biden is Xi’s puppet, by rental of Hunter and by Chinese industrial might.

Neocons are having wargasms. If you want a million tiny Chinese boots on the necks of the Eurotrash this is how you do it.

You are then calling for another war like Ukraine now. But this one US will be involved with soldiers.

Actually China perfectly understand all this. That is why China will help Russia. She needs and friendly country on her only land border she can be invaded.

So Russia wins in Ukraine so China wins too in Taiwan.

China needs to be sanctioned. It’s also time to support independence for the free people of Taiwan.

Another stupid, false neocon slogan. The vast majority of Taiwanese do not want formal independence. They know what it means, and they are happy with present status. Indeed, 15% of Taiwanese actually live/work/study in Mainland China. taiwan's biggest export market is China - more than 2X the USA.

Certainly though, Taiwan can be "Ukrainized." The US deep-state can promote and push to the front that radical, small minority, who will demand confrontation with China.

Taiwanese are actually quite aware of this.

Crimes against human when Putin sends tanks across a nation’s border.

Patriotism and fighting for democracy when USA does it.

War and thievery. It’s what America does.

China is playing Russia and the US like a Stradivarius. We fight in a stupid war that means nothing to us strategically weakening us and western Europe along with the Russians. China is ignored by both but behind the scenes stokes the stupid mentality that the US and Russia could never ever-ever cooperate or exist with mutual respect.

With the Ukraine debacle China gets any possible good outcome:

The Ukraine somehow wins and Russia and the US are weakened and easy pickings.

The Russians win and again the same result.

The Russians and the US/NATO get into a shooting war and by a miracle of God it remains conventional and ends in stalemate with both weakened and vulnerable.

Then the grand prize the Russians and US/NATO go full warmonger and engage in an nuclear exchange devastating North America, Europe and Central Asia. The Chinese are left standing to rule the rest of the world.

Indeed our neocons, deep state, RINO’s, military industrial complex(BTW you SFB’s if were dead who’s going to buy your sh*t?) progressives, communists, Democrat’s and WarCons(conservatives who would declare war on Christ himself if they thought he had a inkling of Russian DNA.) Our alleged brightest and best have blundered around like drunken fools since Reagan won the Cold War and they leave a trail of death and destruction in their wake and continual LOSE every war they start, they can’t win a war against a girl scout troop!

Why does this bother folks? Are they sending troops or just arms? What what is China getting in return?

I think China never misses an opportunity to enrich themselves or enhance their place in the world.

Putin climbing into bed with Xi is going to be the worst move he could make. He will end up paying dearly for Chinese “help.”

“Eh. Please explain.”

It’s pretty standard practice around FR to call anyone who advocates for free trade, or laments the consequences of moving away from that stance, a “free traitor” now, especially since Trump began pushing away from those kinds of policies by implementing tarriffs and whatnot.

So are we against “free trade” with China or for it? I can’t keep up anymore.

It is US who invokes this mentality not China. China just uses whatever she sees as opportunity.

The Russians and the US/NATO get into a shooting war and by a miracle of God it remains conventional and ends in stalemate with both weakened and vulnerable.==

It is obviously will not stay conventional because the conventionality benefits only one side(not Russia).

IMHO to get even with NATO in THIS scenario Russia MUST use tactical nukes on battlefield. And Russia WILL use them this way for sure. If NATO at this moment will NOT escalate into full scale nuclear war then it will stay a limited nuclear strikes on battlefield only. So Russia will NOT strike NATO towns first so nukes may stay limited by battlefield if NATO will not escalate. Choice will be on NATO.
