The Democrats in America have a problem: Kamala Harris.
And Charles Lipson, the Peter B. Ritzma professor of political science emeritus at the University of Chicago, wonders if they can get it solved.
In a Real Clear Wire commentary, he wrote Joe Biden's pick to be his vice president is, in fact, "a living embodiment of the Peter Principle, where people keep getting promoted until they reach jobs for which they are clearly unqualified."
Typically, a vice president of a sitting president is primed for a run for the Oval Office itself.
However, he explained, "Harris is deeply unpopular with independents, who are essential for electoral success (fewer than one in three voters view her favorably), and she is losing popularity among Democratic Party leaders. They see her ineptitude, listen to her word salads, and watch the polls with dismay. The latest evidence of Harris’ fading position is a sharply critical article in the New York Times, of all places, filled with anonymous disapproval from senior Democrats, many of whom once supported her. Now, they are worried."
The real problem? Although she's already considered a "drag" on the 2024 ticket for Democrats, "she’s almost impossible to drop."

Hardly a disqualification for a Democrat. Look at "Senator" Fetterman. Ballot counts matter and the Democrats can insert all the ballots they need to make the counts come out right. Actual voters and their opinions do not matter in the slightest way.
The real problem is that Harris is too stupid and too bad-tempered to follow directions from her handlers. Biden at least tries to follow directions to the best of his declining abilities.
Perhaps a "Tragic and Unexpected Event" (tm) will solve the problem for the cabal. Even better if they can blame it on Donald Trump.
By one means or another the Democrats will ensure that Harris is not part of the 2024 "elections".
Understandable, BUT! at least Fetterman has his deep depression and stroke history whereas our current VP Moron has only her DEI as a defense. It’s almost embarrassing to watch that idiot try to talk cogently about something and the way the MSM and DNC and administration officials stick up for her is more embarrassing, IMO>
Why can’t they start playing up some other Democrat woman of color as her next generation protege? Then they are not tossing her out; they are passing the torch.
(I know why. Democratic women don’t mentor or pass the torch. They cling to their own power. Also, a graceful transition requires cleverness, which is in short supply over there.)
