First Person: The towns in Ukraine which no longer exist
United Nations News ^ | 17 February 2023 | United Nations

Posted on 02/19/2023 4:02:39 PM PST by E. Pluribus Unum

Johannes Fromholt is currently near the frontline in Donetsk Oblast and has been describing the support the UN is providing.

“I am currently in Kurakhove, which is close to the frontline. We see heavy fighting, which has intensified even in the past week. We came here as part of a UN interagency humanitarian convoy, to provide communities with humanitarian assistance.

Of course, there is extensive damage; some towns in this area are 80 to 90 per cent damaged, some even more. So actually, you could say they don't even exist anymore. Even on the way to Kurakhove a missile strike occurred in a nearby city, which killed three people and injured 12.

It's important that we continue supporting, as much as possible, the frontline locations with humanitarian assistance. In Kurakhove where I currently am, there are approximately 12,000 people in need. This humanitarian convoy is the first of twelve convoys going to front line locations in the next five days.

In total across the country, there are nearly 18 million people, that's almost 40 per cent of the Ukraine population in need of humanitarian assistance. And this includes the western parts of Ukraine, to a lesser extent, the center and north, but mainly in the southern and eastern parts of Ukraine, where we also have the frontline at the moment.

Some folks are actually supporting Russia killing the
last Ukrainian.

I wonder if you know who that is.

Have you had the courage to tell Russia to go back to it’s
own border yet?

“So are the Ukrainians (willing to fight to the last Ukrainian).”

Yep, Biden, Soros, and the Neocons got the PERFECT bitches to fight their war against Russia. Couldn’t ask for a better bunch of suckers.

Most Ukrainians don’t even want this war... they know it’s been provoked by the US.

But if you want to talk about who the Neocons have *really* fooled, it’s us - most Americans stupidly support yet another foreign war they know nothing about, all because they bought into the flag waving, and are too stupid to actually investigate for themselves and figure out that our foreign policy has been hijacked by a group of megalomaniacs who aren’t acting in anyone’s interests but their own.

I’m in favor of Russia killing the last neo Nazi in the Ukrainian military. We don’t need a second Nazi rise to power.

I do keep the innocent Ukrainian citizens in my prayers - they are caught in the middle of NATO’s proxy war against Russia. Zelensky doesn’t care if the Ukrainian citizens live or die - he’s Moldovian. The players in this proxy war are using the Ukrainians citizens who are suffering disproportionately for the WWIII aspirations of NATO/Brandon and others.

Pls, tell us how you developed this opinion.

My area has many Ukrainians and I never hear of anything like that.

At least the Ukrainians have the courage to fight, unlike some keyboard commandos here on FR that have never given any indication of fighting for freedom any time in their life.

Is your area in Ukraine?

Indeed, Ukrainians safely residing in the United States often have different takes on the war than the Ukrainians stuck in Ukraine.

On a related note, go check out the videos of Azov press gangs grabbing young Ukrainian men, some barely 16 years old, off the streets and forcing them into the army.

It's Ukraine's war, not mine.

Why should I fight for Ukraine's freedom?

--"Is your area in Ukraine?"

Clearly no.

That said the Chicago area has a large Ukrainian diaspora.

Not too far is the beautiful St. Andrew Ukrainian Orthodox Church. Many moved into my area during the 0bama recession and more recently a fresh wave straight from the old country.
Also more than a few East Europeans, they all dislike the Russians.
We have a new neighbor down the way that said to be Russian. I am curious about what they say.

Pls, put up a link to the video you mention.

Ukrainian press gangs (Twitter)

And, FWIW, I have two Ukrainians living with me. My wife, who has been here since 2007 and her niece, who came across the Mexican border as a legit refugee in April.

They are both from Lugansk Oblast in the Donbas.

———-
I do, after the Ukie Neo Nazis are eradicated, Ukraine agrees to never join NATO and lets the ethnic Russian provinces vote on Independence from Ukraine….
Oh, sounds a lot like the Minsk Agreements that the Ukies violated in 2014.

The Independence vote is moot, they are now a part of the Russian Federation, and Vlad is never giving them up, period. Get used to it.

They are not recognized by anyone but Russia to be Russian,
but why not add to your infantile beliefs as you go?

You’re insipid posts are nonsense.

Under that agreement Russian was not allowed to invade
the Ukraine.

And the Ukies were obviously not allowed to start shelling the ethnic Russian provinces….14,000 killed by the Ukies, the bulk of Ukies sent were Azov Neo- Nazis.

Don’t argue with me, even our US Congress outlawed financing the Ukie Nazis, and much can be found on the UN Ukie human rights violations.

Your comments about Americans: “are too stupid to actually investigate for themselves and figure out” also fits with covid, the vaxes, stolen elections and many other subjects the left is pushing.

The left is really taking advantage of patriotic ignorance.

My next door neighbors for a great many years told us they were Russian.   They were a Jewish couple and their son who had wanted to leave Moscow when glasnost and perestroika filially allowed them to come here.   I thought it was a wonderful thing they were now free.

Murat died a few years ago.   When this proxy war was started by FJB, the Russian Misses said she was Ukrainian and thought Zelenskyy was the greatest leader in the world.

All of these years she was Russian, go figure.

This war to send us all into the dark ages and kill 7.5 billon humans along the was is a full blown farce.

Russians were in the break-away provinces and there were
hostilities. You can’t grasp that a nation might object
to that can you?

You and I are referred to as White Supremacists and
worse. People in Congress agree with that too. Does
that make us White Supremacists and worse?

You know all this, but here you are spewing stuff that
is half truth just like all the Soros folks do.

Who benefits from Europe being thrown into utter
chaos? Capitalist Free Enterprise zones, or socialist
guys like Soros, that will do any damn thing he can
to destroy the West?

You play right into his hands, while accusing everyone
else of doing it.

Tell me, does Mexico have the right to invade the U. S.
because we do something they don’t like related to
illegal immigration? I mean, they do speak Spanish.
That seems to be the threshold you back in the Ukraine.
Do you back it here also.

Do you think the U. S. would simply watch as Mexico tried
to take back part of the U. S.? Do you think there might
be hostilities?

Do you think there might be innocent people killed in the
process?

What am I asking? You don’t think at all.
