It’s about time. Was getting to the point of being ridiculous; like a permanent tent revival. Big public displays of piety start to take on the looks of the virtual signalling that we so despise on the part of the left.
How dare you! The money changers and people who sell doves for sacrifices need money too. There’s money to be made here and you want to shut it down. What would Jesus do?
I’ll admit to not seeing much real-time video of this
event. What I did see looked decent. Still, I’m not
the expert.
One has to ask, what would a pouring out of the Holy
Spirit look like in the last days? I”m not sure it
would look much different than this.
There are times when we pray to the Lord to cause
a revival of Christianity. Is there any chance at
all this is an answer to that prayer?
It has gotten the attention of the nation from coast
to coast. I don’t believe people who are moved to
travel to this place and partake, are doing so at
the Devil’s behest. It is causing God to be thought
of by millions of people.
I’m still mindful of the vastly over-repeated (so
I’m sorry to repeat it again) story of a man that
was shipwrecked on a deserted island.
He prayed for a boat to come get him and bring him
to safety. Along came a cruise ship, and they sent
over a raft to save him, but it wasn’t a single
boat by itself, so he said, no I”ll stay until
God answers my prayer. A helicopter flew over
and landed. Same thing. I prayed and God will
answer. A submarine of all things came by. Still
the man held out for God to answer his prayer.
In heaven after he finally died, he asked God.
Why didn’t you answer my prayer? God said,
I sent a raft, a helicopter, and a submarine. You
refused my help three times.
We have to be open to God working in His mysterious
ways.
You may have seen evidence of this drifting off
target. If so, you may be right.
I could see you calling the police when the crowds gathered for the Sermon on the Mount. No loaves or fishes for you! lol
Spot on, Flaglady47.
These folks made a beautiful testament in their revival, God bless them....and there was no need to belabor their point.
They knew when to hold 'em...and when to fold them, as the old-but-true saying goes.

A young preacher out of North Carolina use to hold crusades for months ata time in cities as did ones before him. Churches not so long ago would hold revivals every night for a week or two in duration often several times a year. BTW I’m talking about our nation from 1900- The Great Society era. Billy Sunday was one of the earlier ones and Billy Graham in his earlier years held crusades lasting for weeks. Why do people now find it so odd? Granted this is a university but it is also a church connected university. Harvard, Yale, and many other once church ran institutes, could use a good old fashioned Tent Revival.
