Vice President Kamala Harris said Friday on MSNBC’s “Andrea Mitchell Reports” that she believes it is “wrongheaded” for Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) to “censor” what is taught in Florida schools.
Mitchell asked, “Let me ask you, what does Governor Ron DeSantis not know about black history and the black experience when he says that slavery and the aftermath of slavery should not be taught to Florida schoolchildren?”
Harris said, “I don’t know what he knows and what he doesn’t know, but I know this, any push to censor America’s teachers and tell them what they should be teaching in the best interest of our children in partnership with the parents of America, is I think, wrongheaded.”

Well then why do Democrats pressure social media companies to censor everyone who questions the sacred cows of the Left? I am not aware of any special exemption for teachers in this censorship that the Democrats are very much in favor of pushing.
On the other hand, if somebody hires me to read a commercial for the product would we call it "censoring" and think it bad for the people to tell me what I am to say about their product as a condition of my employment? It is up to the employer to determine what I say on behalf of a company. In the same way a teacher in a private school should teach the curriculum the school gives them to teach and if they instead want to be sexually explicit to small children in their teaching in a way that would make parents angry, for goodness sake it is no violation of their right to speech for this to be banned. They can groom kids on their own hours. A public school of course is like a private school that tax payers are forced to pay for. Why can't we demand that they refrain from teaching our kids sexually explicit stuff when our kids are too young--since we are paying for the teaching? Don't care what the teacher does in their own time, just keep it away from the kids.
Harris should be careful about picking a fight with DeSantis.
There was a notable difference in intellect between Pence & Harris during the VP debate, a debate that was unfavorable for Harris.

US Teachers have always been censored. There has never been a time when teachers were free to expose pupils to porn, homosexual porn, and body mutilation. Never....
It has to be codified today, but that “freedom” has never existed.

wtf is this idiot rambling about? Yes teacher can be censored. They have a set curriculum on their chosen subjects and a responsibility to stick to facts. If they veer into browbeating students with opinionated garbage then yes, they shall be censored.
