Made it safely to and home from my appointments, but today was rough. I haven’t been this sore for a while. A new icepack and some ibuprofen and I am headed to bed. Usually most of the “pain” and soreness is gone in the morning. Hoping for the same in the morning.
Good morning, Mayor, and thank you for today’s sustenance for body and soul.
We’ve made it to Friday, and almost to the weekend.
Stay warm!!
Having to deal with your garage door manually is enough t make anyone sore. On top of the soreness you get from your chiro and massage appointments can’t help.
I hope the icepack and ibuprofen do the trick.
Good morning, Mooch...hope you are still enjoying mild weather.
We are supposed to get more snow starting tonight. Enough already!!
Yesterday at Chisolm Trail Park:
How's everyone doing this morning?
Howdy, E.G.C. ((HUGZ))
Looks like you and Gizmo had another pretty day yesterday. You were lucky to miss out on all the action we had over here east of you.
Giz looks quite happy with romp at the lake.
They sure do have PLENTY of snow stockpiled for the start of the Iditarod.
They probably have enough for the whole route. LOL In the years I’ve been checking the city cams and watching the Lake Hood cam, I’ve never seen so many huge piles of snow everywhere. Or seen your yard and street so full. Crazy!
:-)
Thankfully I don’t have to go out again til Saturday, and then not again til Thursday. He’s hoping to be able to get a new motor installed BEFORE Thursday.
We practiced last night raising and lowering by hand. He ever took some of the tension off the new springs to make it easier. And he put a length of rope on the handle so I didn’t have to stand on tiptoes to pull it down. He was here from 9p to 11p, and then was going to his LAST appointment. He is a keeper!
It’s a commercial opener, so no little red handle to pull in the middle of the door. Before he found that it needed to be replaced (it is/was very old) he showed me what to pull and how to disable the motor for manual lifting and closing. The chain is like old swing set swing chain and has to be pulled and and lodged in a special notch. Now I know how to do all that, but then came the news of needing a new motor, or waiting for him to research WHERE he might find a replacement part for such an old motor. Better to bite the bullet and just get a new one “sometime this year”. I need it working now.
I’m keeping all appendages crossed for luck. It would be very nice if he can get the new motor installed before next Thursday. It sounds like a bit of a pain to deal with the door manually.
He is DEFINITELY a keeper! I still can’t believe you lucked onto someone who will work at night, especially that late!
It is very nifty! Really helps get the planes out onto the ice and snow.
I guess I’ll finish this show and head out. It’s really chilly here in the kitchen and I’m ready for the covers. See ya tomorrow!
Good morning, E...((HUGS))...what beautiful blue sky! Looks like Gizmo really enjoyed yesterday’s adventure to Chisolm Trail Park. Lots of different territory to cover.
You guys enjoy today’s adventure.
They have several nifty things there. I love the half trucks because they look so odd. My mouth dropped open the first time I saw one. LOL
The rain is almost past and I can feel the floor cooling. Looked at the thermometer and it’s down to 46 now and it won’t stop dropping for a while. I didn’t poke my head out so don’t know if the wind’s picking up yet.
Curl up under the blankets and warm up. Catch ya tomorrow.
My knees are a lttle better, but I need to take it slow. Today we walked about a half mile, which is an imrovement, but Tippy got distracted by a whole HERD (one buck and about six does) of deer crossing the highway.
Good Morning Kathy! (((HUGS))) - yeah, I beat out this United guy again. I got 460 out of 400 and he just got over the 400 mark. Have a Great Day!
