Arizona tanker truck rolls over, leaks hazardous material Arizona authorities announced Wednesday morning that a Tuesday afternoon shelter-in-place order following a deadly rollover that resulted in a hazmat spill has been reinstated.
"Unified Command has reinstated the shelter in place order for a one-mile perimeter around the incident. While crews were attempting to remove the load from the commercial vehicle, gassing occurred. I-10 remains closed in both directions between Kolb & Rita roads in Tucson," the Arizona Department of Public Safety tweeted.
Residents were advised to avoid the area and seek alternate routes of travel, and the department said that Unified Command anticipates an "extensive closure."
Anyone within a one-mile perimeter of the incident was instructed to turn off heaters as well as air conditioning systems that bring in outside air.

Almost like people in transportation who drive or haul for a living were mandated to have a vax shot.
Easy fix.. Any truck that hauls hazardous cargo gets a 35MPH governor.
I support our truckers, but spend a day on any Interstate Highway and you won’t. They show automobile drivers zero courtesy. It’s just rush, rush, rush to get to the next load. I’m sorry, but if your business model requires you to put the public in harms way, perhaps you need to be doing something else.

It does seem like these incidents are close together to be accidents. I think we have “a team” loose in our Nation.
And add a massive back bumper on the trucks for all the people ramming them at 75mph.

Not to argue or belabor your point, because I am starting to agree with you.
I drive that section of I-10 pretty regular between Benson and east Tucson and see some of the best & worst drivers I have ever seen.
I kinda suspect the rudest drivers & truckers are the youngest and newest. They get flusterated with driving an interstate highway that is at least 25 years out of date. With only two lanes in each direction from Lordsburg to well into Tucson, it is like trying to put ten pounds of crap into a 5 pound bucket.
