Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg said during a Monday event that too many construction crews “don’t look like” the neighborhoods they work in.

Face it. People like Buttigieg have perverted ways of thinking, no administrative or leadership skills and should not be placed in positions of power and influence.

I was thinking how Buttigig was sounding like the condescending yacht club guy from Caddy Shack.

Was getting my oil changed a while back. Talking to shut that worked for one of the big companies that does the roadwork, large pipelines, etc
Black guy comes to work, works for about a month, calls HR and he’s untouchable for the remainder of his time with the company.
I asked him about the “Mexicans”. Said they were reliable, initially, but they’ve learned from the black guys and are just as bad.
Two possible reasons:
1. Could be the no others want to work, so don’t show up for interviews.
2. Managers who staff the crews want people who will work.
So, he’s got a problem with Hispanics?
The last thing I want is road construction crews that look like my neighborhood of (mostly) old white people who get exhausted by ten minutes with a garden spade.
What’s the solution? force people to do a job that requires physical labor? that sometimes has you outside in all kinds of weather? a job where you can’t lob around and collect a salary anyway?
Is hide-the-weiner pete thinking that only White males can do the job? Or does he think that that White males are keeping non-Whites and women from getting a job in construction?
Is pete’s mind on paternity leave and can’t see reality?
What a despicable piece of excrement!
Great hire a bunch of “people who look like the neighborhood”. Then I hope every CAPABLE workers refuse to get the materials to them. Let the “people who look like the neighborhood” order their own stuff. Building should last a week.
I have contracted construction crews.
They don’t look like any neighborhood. They are road crews.
