TORY: As the anniversary of its invasion of Ukraine nears, Russian forces pounded the city of Bakhmut on Monday, in what NATO chief Jens Stoltenberg said was the beginning of a major, long-feared new offensive:
"The reality is we have seen the start already because we see now what Russia does now - President Putin does now - is to send thousands and thousands more troops, accepting a very high rate of casualty."
Military officials said Ukrainian defenders, who have held on for months, were braced for new ground attacks.

“Military officials said Ukrainian defenders, who have held on for months, were braced for new ground attacks.”
But did they really hold...or were the Russians content to simply destroy them and their hardware without trying to advance, knowing that the Drag Queens who run the West would be able to replace them?
We’ll learn the truth at some point, probably in a year or two.
So Putin fans, let’s get you on record. What do you think this offensive will accomplish?
What major cities will fall and how quickly?
Or will it take a few minor villages of no consequence that will do nothing to break Ukraine’s will or ability to fight?
I don’t waste my time on single brain-celled organisms.
I suspect this slow roll of an attack is the real thing. It’s hard for the Russians to concentrate an overwhelming mass. They would be way too vulnerable to Uke long range artillery and HIMARS, and their logistics more so.
They may just be content to maintain a lower concentration of units up front and feed units in and use their “mass of maneuver”, not to maneuver, but to replace casualties. This would be very costly vs achieving an actual breakthrough and opening the way to operational maneuver. But given the circumstances they may not have another option.
So your a big man when it comes time to posting war gifs, but too big a coward to be mocked in a few weeks when actual predictions of victory don’t come true?
I don’t want a war at all.
You’re the war lover.
You ignore all the history that preceded Russia’s Ukraine invasion and pretend it was unprovoked.
History began that moment for the single brain-celled organism.
Orange Putin bad!
Globohomo puppet good!
Nuclear war fun!

I will make a hard prediction, on the record, and you can call me out if I’m wrong.
In the next two months Russia will fail to take any of Ukraine’s 10 major cities. (Kiev, Kharkiv, Odessa, Dnipro, Zaporizhzhia, Lviv, Kryvyi Rih, Mykolaiv, Chernihiv, Kherson) and thus fail to do anything to break Ukraine’s will or ability to fight.
Tell me I’m wrong if you believe in the Great Russian War Machine so much.
You sound like a globohomo war lover.

You know so much about this war: if you’re such an expert make some predictions about how this offensive will go.
Or are you too chicken?
I’m not a war-loving weirdo like you.
People will die. All due to our corrupt deep state. Cheer all you want but you have been reported, cataloged and filled with the FBI as with everyone here. Yet you cheer away life like it’s a game. Endless useless deaths in order to scam a few billions from Ukrainian people to enrich the corrupt rich satanic ruling class in the good old 🇺🇸.
War never should have happened. Cheer away at the millions of dead pawns. Maybe FJB and Hunter and their cronies can make 100+ per body.
You’re big, your proud and your blood lust has no bounds. You blame Russia, I blame US deep state and FJB.
“I will make a hard prediction...”
Why should Russia hurry? It’s FAR EASIER to stay put and simply destroy Western hardware and troops as they show up at the front.
Anyway, they don’t answer to me, so I don’t know their plans, although it would make sense to liberate as much of Ukraine as possible before things thaw out.
This offensive will accomplish nothing by itself. It will just refine the tactics of Russian doctrine and allow them to see what works and what doesn't.
In other words, Drop artillery in massive barrages, 1970-1980 estimates that the Russians had the capacity to drop 60,000 shells per hour on a one kilometer area of battle. They had plans to do that for several hours.
Then advance with infantry till concentrated opposition was identified and repeat the process.
Basically a slow rolling bulldozer. They don't do fast maneuvar warfare with coordinated armor, infantry and air support .
What major cities will fall and how quickly?
Odessa eventually. It's war, nobody knows the time line. But from historical perspective, as soon as spring gets there and allows the ground to dry off.... they'll push to encircle Slovyansk, Dnipro will be "defended" and be held...by the Ukes.
But the real "tell" is when the push goes to Mykolaiv and somehow all those Russian soldiers in Transnistria start getting attacked by Ukes, NATO or Moldova.... real or imaginary attacks. That will allow Putin to "protect" Russian forces under attack and... rush to their defense.
Or will it take a few minor villages of no consequence that will do nothing to break Ukraine’s will or ability to fight?
Yes, it will take small villages and destroy them. It's not the villages but the ROADS that the Russians want.
Bottom line is that "we" will fight to the last Ukrainian man and Russia will have lost many many men. Kinda like we did in Afghanistan, Syria, Iraq...etc....
This all could have been prevented if Ukraine wasn't "fast tracked" to join NATO and we (CIA/State Dept) hadn't put in a comedian that didn't learn to speak Ukraine "fluently" till 6 months before he took office. hahahaha... f'ing joke, right?
It will stop adding to the obscenely high $32,000,000,000,000 national debt. That will help our children and grand children to avoid living in a bankrupt country.
I don't give a rat's azz who wins loses. I just want the money laundering down the rabbit hole called Ukraine stopped.
Are American leaders this stupid to have learned nothing from unnecessary foreign wars in Vietnam, Afghanistan, Iraq?
