There’s a post on Twitter that F-15s and aerial tankers have just scrambled from McChord AFB in Washington, apparently headed north.

It doesn’t make sense to me. I think there are plenty of F-22s at Elmendorf, that can do the job.

KC-135s are based at Fairchild, not McChord; I don’t know about KC-46.
