Donald Trump launched a fresh attack on pop superstar Rihanna, just two days before the We Found Love singer headlines the Super Bowl's half time show.

On his Truth Social social media platform, the ex-president wrote, 'Without her ‘Stylist’ she’d be NOTHING. Bad everything, and NO TALENT!' The show during the Chiefs v Eagles match-up will be Rihanna's first live performance in seven years.

The ex-president's ire was raised after Texas Republican congressman Ronny Jackson urged the NFL to pull Rihanna from the Sunday's show after the Barbadian singer spray painted 'F**k Donald Trump' at the Cadillac Ranch in Amarillo, Texas.

"spray-painted 'F*** Donald Trump' on a car and told Vogue he was 'the most mentally ill man in America'"

Is there a faster way to destroy one's own credibility?

Rihanna and other children who say Donald Trump is a war criminal or that he's crazy are at a complete loss when asked for examples of his crimes or his insanity.

They are like elementary school kids who have overheard something from the adults at the dinner table and repeat it without any understanding.

Unfortunately, this is the state of humanity at the moment. People have no education or intelligence. They spout off without giving any thought to what comes out of their mouths.

That is not right, dude. My mother had to real with that crap from my stepfather. No man should do that to a woman. You are right thought, that Umbrella song is downright annoying. I just looked it up, 2007, freaking 2007. Has she had anything even close to relevant, lately. You would think that the NFL would change up the halftime show, but I guess “white people” music is so yesterday. Lol. I did like last year’s halftime show, since I’m a a kid of the 90s. But change it up, please.

I wish Trump would remember that there is no need for him to respond to every insignificant child who criticizes him. It looks small-minded.

But, that's Trump, so I guess we had better get used to it.

It is worth noting that Churchill was always under attack from every angle. His response was, we've got bigger problems to deal with, why waste time on empty chatter? (I paraphrase). When you ignore people who criticize you, you deny them attention...and, eventually, other people begin to ignore them. But when you respond to everyone who slurs your name, you encourage them.

Guaranteed she wasn’t sitting there being a good person. Probably attacked him just as hard or said something unbelievable vile and caused this. Just a hunch.

I wish Trump would remember that there is no need for him to respond to every insignificant child who criticizes him.

If you were aware of the amount of vitriol that Trump receives daily on the internet, news media, and damn near every other platform known to mankind, you would recognize how silly it is to accuse Trump of responding "to every insignificant child who criticizes him". He most certainly does not.

But Rihanna is a celebrity with a fair amount of influence and Trump understands the implications of allowing such public attacks to go unchallenged.

Trump, flawed as he may be, is valued for the same reason Lincoln valued a drunken General Grant.

"He fights."

Yes he does.

I know better than most how much vitriol Trump receives on a daily basis. As a former NYer, I have followed Trump since the 1970s, when he was a fixture on all the local radio shows.

I have been a Trump for president fan since before he came down the escalator in Trump Tower.

That said, Trump has always been thin-skinned and that has invited criticism.

You don't need to virtue signal your devotion to Trump. He doesn't need it.

Arguing with your misguided perspective is not “virtue signalling”. I want Trump to crap on these people. I wish more people in high places would do the same instead of virtue-signalling about civility or some other nonsense while getting their asses handed to them.

There is a priest who died and went to hell and came back who said among other things that Rhianna songs were playing over a loudspeaker. I found it odd. It would be horrific, however.

Speaking of misguided...the way Trump should deal with people like Rihanna is not by getting into the mud with them. If he can't resist returning fire, he should at least use humor to berate and disarm them.

If you think Trump should get into squabbles with insignificant people like Rihanna, you need to grow up a bit.

Even schoolchildren realize the way to defeat people who tease you is to turn the tables on them.

Just imagine how Trump could have stung Rihanna if he had said something like, "I am so sad that I don't have Rihanna's support. I was really counting on the support of fine but barely-known performers from Barbados. What will I do without her?"

I agree with you. She’s not worth commenting on abd if asked about it should just shake his head. I like the Churchill reference and it is applicable here.

That's right.

One of the most important lessons in life is "pick your battles (strategically)." "Don't let your enemies entice you into battles of their liking and on their terrain."
