ABC’s Farah Griffin: DeSantis ‘Overhyped’ — Will ‘Implode’ Under Trump Attacks
Breitbart ^ | 02-09-2023 | Pam Key

Posted on 02/09/2023 11:01:18 AM PST by ChicagoConservative27

Alyssa Farah Griffin told her co-host Thursday on ABC’s “The View” that Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) was “overhyped” as a potential 2024 presidential candidate.

Griffin said, “On DeSantis, I think he is so overhyped. I’m just going, to be honest, I’ve seen Trump take out every mini version of Trump for the last five years. I think right now, the party wants something other than Trump. They want Trump light, so they are boosting and hyping DeSantis. He doesn’t do national interviews. He does nothing on the national stage. I think he will implode once Trump goes after him and keeps going after him. My sense is this, how ugly this got this quickly is remarkable and spells for a very bad two years. Trump went straight to you’re a groomer. Maybe save that for June before the primary.”

Remember that he tried to get hydroxychloroquine to be used to treat people. He even demanded that they allow it to be used.

He yapped about it, but that was it. He could have easily issued an executive order to protect it, and other therapies that the FDA and CDC were trying to suppress, but never did. You know what he did issue an executive order for, to rush out there? Ventilators. You know, the devices with the 90% death rate. Along with a $50K bonus to any hospital who had a patient die on them.

he had to fast track the "vaccines" because he saw that they were only going to free the population with a vaccine.

Only because he was allowing the FDA and CDC to block all therapies, instead of issuing an exec order to protect them. It was all part of The Plan (TM) to block therapies, because if any therapies were accepted, then it would by law negate the emergency order protecting the liability of the vaccines.

You really believe that covid vaccine liability should have been protected like that? Trump could have stopped it, but did nothing. Oh sure he would have taken some political heat, but isn't that why he's supposed to be so great, that he can stand up to the heat? Apparently not, or that's what he wanted.

Dr. Scott Gottlieb

Trump appointee. In one of Trump's agencies. Yet Trump gets a pass? Not from me.

Putting DeSantis in as Veep will assure him of the 2028 nomination with no difficulties. Imagine 12 years of Trump and DeSantis - the Dems would melt down, and the country would actually have a shot at surviving in a form recognizable to us in the long term.

That’s definitely a positive outcome. In my gut, I’m not sure Trump can share the ticket with someone so solid, though. No one thought Pence was going anywhere, including Trump.

He yapped about it, but that was it.

Just not true at all. Scott Gottlieb thwarted him.

Trump appointee. In one of Trump's agencies. Yet Trump gets a pass? Not from me.

Think DeSantis will do any better? If he does it's only because he is a party loyalist, or perhaps even a Uniparty loyalist.

If DeSantis were really a MAGA supporter, he wouldn't have the supporters within the party that he has. In his own voice he says he wants to be a Paul Ryan. We all know what a MAGA supporter Paul Ryan is.

Some people are just so easily fooled. Don't be one of them, for your children & grandchildren's sake. For America's sake, For your own sake. DeSantis is showing that he is nothing more than a snake in the grass, and out strictly for himself.

He yapped about it, but that was it. He could have easily issued an executive order to protect it, and other therapies that the FDA and CDC were trying to suppress, but never did. You know what he did issue an executive order for, to rush out there? Ventilators. You know, the devices with the 90% death rate. You expect him to be knowledgeable about medicine, a novel corona virus, and make medical decisions so that he could be charged as practicing medicine without a license?

Never mind, you will never find a leader, because you are expecting something that no leader can ever be. You seem to forget also that doctors were being silenced, after some of them started to speak out. They were being silenced by threat of loss of their careers. Most were effectively silenced as a result, it was only the brave who kept talking and they lost their voices before alternative platforms were developed for them to resume talking.

You are being ridiculously with your expectations, and not rational at all.

But you will find out by summer, and I'm convinced DeSantis is running. The odds are against me being wrong about that.

Scott Gottlieb thwarted him.

Trump appointed him. He worked in one of Trump's agencies. Ergo, he likely did what Trump wanted, no matter what the public presentation was. But if you think that Gottlieb defied Trump, why did Trump let him get away with it? He could have issued an executive order, he could have demanded his resignation, he could have done a lot of things, but ultimately, he did nothing. So if you're looking for someone to blame for what Gottlieb did, that starts and ends with Trump.

Think DeSantis will do any better?

I don't think he would do as bad, and certainly not any worse. And take your DeSantis blinders off, it's not all about him. It's about how Trump failed, and doesn't really deserve a second chance again, and how he's now doing his best to make sure no Republicans get back in the White House, ever. How's that going to look then, Donald Trump, the last Republican President ever, who destroyed the party.

You expect him to be knowledgeable about medicine, a novel corona virus, and make medical decisions so that he could be charged as practicing medicine without a license?

I expect him to do better than come out there and shove Fauci in our face, every single day, when half the country already knew Fauci was guilty of the Gain of Function research that led to the whole thing to begin with. That's the moment I really started losing it with Trump. NO WAY he was that uninformed about Gain of Function and Fauci. Yet he still acts like it to this day. Gain of Function? What's that? Only the China does that. Yeah right.

You are being ridiculously with your expectations

It's not about expectations with Trump, it's about the past. I don't have to dream up some nightmare scenario, like you are trying to do with others, because we just went through actually living through one the worst nightmares of our lifetimes, and Trump still can't even admit he made a single mistake with anything including the vaccines.

So, did you take Trump's advice and get not just the vaccines, but also all the boosters? Or are you just quote "gutless" as he referred to DeSantis over not taking them.

She’s correct. DeSantis can’t debate at all. He has no charisma and cannot speak to a normal human being for more than a minute without looking down on them. Trump is much better with regular folks.

Good point. DeSantis is paying off many bloggers and activists to bash Trump. Trump comes out and says what he thinks without hiding behind the skirts of Ben Shapiro and Twitter grifters.

Ergo, he likely did what Trump wanted, no matter what the public presentation was.

You mean like Generals Mattis, Milley , and so many others whose public presentations were one thing while the reality was them stabbing him in the back at every turn, including Mike Pence. That's just how much corruption now exists in the halls of government.

You seem to forget that Trump had no inside knowledge of politics whatsoever. He was only afforded glimpses of them as a private citizen. Many citizens were shocked to see the breadth & depth of the swamp was in reality. Others apparently still fail to see that.

Quit being so naïve as to believe that DeSantis could navigate the leviathan better than Trump, or that he would even try to fight them as Trump has done. which means he will either join then or be totally ineffective, if he were elected that is. My guess is that Ron DeSantis will join them and become their front man, much like Joe Biden is the current front man.

None so blind as those who will not see.

I just have a different take on it. I look at 2020 and 2022 completely differently than you do. I believe Trump won the 2020 election. What else could we possibly ask of him? I also believe that many Trump friendly candidates have been systematically cheated as he was. Have you happened to notice any differences in our election system today? Have you read any stories about how our government intel agencies were intimately involved in censoring political speech in America? I believe we have a big, big problem in America which likely will not be solved by an election. Like many, I’m not sure what to do but what I do know is that I trust Trump as he is under constant attack by this corrupt system.

I call it laziness, and a belief that you thought it was such a great & clever argument the first time, so you decided to use it a second time. Besides that, you couldn't think of anything else.

Tsk tsk, it worked neither time.

Neither does you lame attempt at insulting me. You haven't the brains to spar with me in reality.

Why doesn't your man find a set of brass balls and go at Trump directly, instead of hiding behind others to undermine Trump & the MAGA movement? I'll tell you why, because he doesn't have balls made of brass like Trump does. Trump will face down, and dispatch his detractors personally. He doesn't rely on others to get into the fray. It's also because DeSantis is a fraud, and if he went after Trump people would soon realize that he is a fraud.

Stick with teaching dogs, you have a slight advantage over them.

I think the party needs to stop only focusing on same-day voting. I believe the best for us is to make sure every registered Republican has a mail in ballot, and after they get that ballot, we pester them until they send it (texting). Secondly, we need to take advantage of early voting and it needs to be a priority. Why the heck can’t we have souls to the polls Sunday? Throw in a free BBQ to entice them. Democrats do that exact thing. We’ve been too lazy with allowing people to just vote if they want to and that has to change immediately.

Thanks. Like I said, Trump completely failed, in the end, and hasn’t wised up yet. There’s no reason to think he’ll do any better with a second chance. Here’s a simple analogy:

You have a valuable piece of property (America), that you want to build on. You save your money (votes), and hire someone to build on it for you (Trump).

After you pay him, he takes your money and goes and hires a bunch of losers (all his horrible appointments) to help do the job. While things start off good, it’s not long before they start trashing your property, ignoring what the boss said or not showing up for work, so bad you have to fire him (Trump loses election, or has it stole, either way, booted off property), and even the police are investigating him at this point (J6 fiasco, still ongoing). Your property is trashed, and all your money is gone (2021-2024).

So you spend the next four years saving your money back up, to build on that property again. Meanwhile, Trump’s been down at the town bar (social media) every night, bitching about what a victim he is, and how every other builder in town is garbage.

Do you dare hire Trump for the job, again? Hell no you don’t, are you kidding? You find someone else, from the other people who you know are doing good jobs for others right now in town, despite all Trump’s bitching. You want that Trump guy as far off your property as you can keep him.

This controversy reminds me of the FLAME WARS that went on here in the late 1990’s.

It’s best not to participate.

The DESANTIS HATERS think this is a big joke and are having fun on these threads.
