First let me say, I am NOT a Putin supporter.
However, your statement that “Europe is managing fine without it” it totally dishonest.
The price of Natural Gas in Germany and the rest of Europe is over 5X the price is was prior to the Ukraine war sanctions.
This with a much warmer than normal winter. If the Europeans had even a normal winter there would have been in dire straits.
The price of NG is up so much in Europe that it has affected the price on the east coast of the US. Especially in New England where a fair percentage of the gas is LNG. This has led to many of the electric utilities in the northeastern US doubling their rates/KWH.
That is simply untrue energy prices in Germany went up considerably you can Google it for yourself

Churches are freezing cold, you can’t use a public swimming pool anymore, the cities are unlit, universities are cancelling classes or closing libraries, inflation is rampant (theirs is caused by energy, not over spending like ours) and their economy is tanking (they largely depend on an energy intense metal/machines and chemical industry for their economy).
