NEVSKE, Ukraine — In a tiny village in eastern Ukraine at the epicenter of the next phase of the war, Lyudmila Degtyaryova measures the Russian advance by listening to the boom of incoming artillery shells.
There are more and more of them now. And they are coming more frequently, as Russian troops grind their way forward.
“You should see the fireworks here,” said Degtyaryova, 61, as the sounds of artillery howled all around. “It is like New Year’s.”
Russia’s military is preparing to launch a new offensive that could soon swallow Degtyaryova’s village of Nevske, and perhaps much more in the eastern Ukrainian region known as the Donbas. But already the impact of Russia’s stepped-up assault is being felt in the towns and villages along the hundreds of miles of undulating eastern front.
Exhausted Ukrainian troops complain they are already outnumbered and outgunned, even before Russia has committed the bulk of its roughly 200,000 newly mobilized soldiers. And doctors at hospitals speak of mounting losses as they struggle to care for fighters with gruesome injuries.

I truly feel sorry for the Ukrainian conscripts, many of whom have been snatched off the streets and pressed into “service” with minimal training. Many of them are in their 50s and 60s. Better armed “barrier units” from Nazi battalions are dug in behind them to prevent retreat or surrender. The role of these conscripts is to die in place, buying time for the Nazis to rearm and ridding the Banderist Reich of its Slavic untermenschen. Poor bastards.

Yeah, NATO’s f**ked. Unless something magical happens like Putin dying or a massive military failure, Russia is going to be headed to the Dniper soon. NATO is already replacing Zelensky’s cadre of euro friendly people to try to figure out a solution, but the only real thing that would stop this is American boots in Ukraine and I pray to God that never happens.

It’s a pity. Instead of Ukraine, it should be Rat cities getting incoming artillery shells.

There are something like 120 or more different groups in the Russian Federation. These are their cold weather troops. LOL. -40C/-40F (only place on the scales they are the same) to them is TShirt weather.
The Wagner PMC Group are their Convict Shock Troops coordinated by special forces brainiacs.
NATO and the people making POTATUS agree to moves have not looked at all 118 groups. Some are incredibly industrial makers. They are joined by a common language. I mean Russia is making as many missiles as they fire in any time period. UK said they would run out of shells in a day against them.
So “Uber Genius Washington” is depleting our stocks while China sends over a 200 foot tall middle finger.
