A higher percentage of women agreed Canada is broken than did men, and more in the youngest age brackets than among the oldest
A majority of Canadians looking at the country they see around them say everything seems to be broken. Concerned about rising costs, the state of health care, affordable housing, jobs and more, half of us are also angry about the way Canada is being run, a national opinion poll says.
But before settling on the easy image of old, malcontent men skewing the survey, consider this: A higher percentage of women agreed Canada is broken than did men, and more in the youngest age brackets than among the oldest.
Nor is it just Albertans, famous for their distrust of Ottawa, or Quebecers, where public opinion often deviates from the rest of Canada.
Yes, the sentiment is higher in Western Canada than in the East, but a solid majority of respondents in every measured region agreed that everything feels broken right now, according to the Postmedia-Leger national poll.
Two-thirds of those asked (67 per cent) agreed everything feels broken — almost half of those even strongly agreed — while 25 per cent disagreed, only seven per cent strongly.

‘broken’ could mean a lot of things. Polls like this lump people who see their freedoms and rights being usurped into the same group as people who are looking for safe spaces because there aren’t free automated medically assisted death and abortion pods on each street corner.
Yep, what percentage of Canadians are calling and writing their elected officials to complain? Will they vote differently in the future? Prolly not.

Well, Canadians choose to have immigrants, their birth rate is low. I think about 85% of the U.S. birth rate, so way below replacement rate.

Canada is about a welfare state that’s too big and paid for by little people through sales and income taxes and user fees.
It’s a fact Canada’s corporate tax rate is 15 percent the Liberal Party always was and still is “Liberal About Capitalism” and in bed with Big Business regardless of the social liberalism and welfare state.
People know their country is broken but they will not vote their way out of it because they have been conditioned that voting for the left is the only acceptable course of action and they are terrified of voting for the right. They’d rather be under the boot and virtuous than be free.
The world is broken, it always has been.
