I guess the plan is to allow all of that natural gas into the atmosphere without burning it? Same alleged carbon footprint, just a bigger molecule. I bet it breaks down to the usual byproducts in sunlight.

Get a propane operated gas stove....and a couple of cylinders

when spokeshave lived in a rural area our 250 gallon propane tank lasted almost a year...with gas cooker, hot water water tank and a wall heater.

But these benefits are meager. The department estimates the proposed rule would reduce energy use by a mere 3.4% from the status quo, and consumers on average would save $21.89 over a cook-top’s lifetime.

BS! Try using a pot with a warped bottom on a cook-top.

First it’s a conspiracy theory and then it’s a regulation.

Same strategy as with dishwashers. Can’t get one that cleans well in a short cycle time these days.

Dish washers will go the way of toilets and you'll run them twice to clean thus saving money and water. /s

All “green” regulations should be applied only to liberals first. Sort of a regulatory “clinical trial.” The rest of us will be happy to serve as the control group. If these policies are as wonderful and beneficial as they insist they are, then libs should jump at the chance to adopt them before anyone else. Let’s see which group fares better.

"Banning Gas Stoves by Regulation. New Energy Department rules would eliminate most current models."

FR: Never Accept the Premise of Your Opponent’s Argument

Why are so-called "MAGA" House majority "Republicans" letting constitutionally undefined Energy Department, run by non-popularly-elected bureaucrats, continue to get away with stealing state powers to unconstitutionally dictate what 10th Amendment consumers can buy?

With all due respect to Sens. Manchin and Cruz supporters, here is the "best effort" by lawmakers to protect gas stoves.

Banning Gas Stoves by Regulation. New Energy Department rules would eliminate most current models. (2.2.23)

I'm not raising my hopes to expect anything other than usual politically correct dog-and-pony shows from "MAGA Republicans."

Hopeful Trump 47 need to do another round of primarying these frauds for 2024 elections.

Note that the fact that Pelosi lost Speaker position despite alleged Democratic vote-counting fraud is evidence of Trump's red tsunami imo.

In the meanwhile, the inevitable remedy for ongoing, post-17th Amendment ratification corrupt political party treason (imo)...

All MAGA patriots need to wake up their RINO federal and state lawmakers by making the following clear to them.

If they don’t publicly support either a resolution, or a Constitutional Convention, to effectively "secede" ALL the states from the unconstitutionally big federal government by amending the Constitution to repeal the 16th (direct taxes) and 17th (popular voting for federal senators) Amendments (16&17A), doing so before the primary elections in 2024, that YOU will primary them.

If the proposed amendment was limited strictly to repealing 16&17A, relatively little or ideally no discussion would be needed before ratification of the amendment imo.

With 16&17A out of the way, my hope is that Trump 47 becomes the FIRST president of a truly constitutionally limited power federal government.

Manufacturers would have to spend hundreds of millions of dollars redesigning stoves, if they bother. Those costs would be passed to consumers in higher prices.

This is why the manufacturers are probably 100% in favor of these stupid regulations.

This is how a fascist economy works, folks … and we’ve been at it for about 150 years.

If I have to, I’ll have a gas stove custom built. Cooking on an electric hot plate is lousy. Gas is much superior.

They don’t have the constitutional authority to do this, even if congress passed a law banning gas stoves. Needs to be challenged at SCOTUS if they try it as not supported by any of the limited, clearly defined powers of the fedgov. And no, the commerce clause doesn’t support this. Maybe time to have a court discussion about the limits of what the founders were pretty clear about (except to commies who don’t like what they read) in stating the commerce clause. The fedgov uses that clause as a ‘get out of jail free card’ for just about every overreaching step they’ve taken.

The U.S. Constitution was burned a long time ago, especially after the 2008 election.

Stupid SCOTUS rulings from the FDR era have much of the blame for our regulatory behemoths.
