Sen. Cory Booker (D-N.J.) said on Sunday that he is talking with a pair of Republican senators about a potential policing reform package, after the killing of Tyre Nichols in Memphis, Tenn. reignited a congressional push to pass reform legislation.

Booker was a lead negotiator of an unsuccessful effort to pass a policing reform bill in 2021 with Sen. Tim Scott (R-S.C.). Now, Booker says he and Scott have “not stopped talking” about the issue since the failed efforts two years ago.

I don’t, I’m pretty content with the Post Office getting rid of string and going tape.

If one looks at the (s)elected OAF-ficials in CONgress, what does that say about the voters of this nation? 🤔

If they insist on treating criminals as victims…. All the reform in the world will not solve the issue. The left has made it mainstream to disrespect the police as a whole. This emboldens the bad guys, surprise. We can talk what leverage it is that only bad guys can have guns in most of the murder capitals of the US thanks to unconstitutional laws. Why that might put police on edge. Or why its a bad idea to lower standards, based on leftists policies, to hire police…

Does not matter who is involved, there is no logical reason for the feds to be engaged with anything even remotely resembling police reforms.
This is very clearly a State and Local issue.

Get the feds out of the cop-shop.

We do need some police reforms, but what we really need is Black Behavior Reform. No one, including the loony leftists, know that blacks can’t control their behavior, that’s why they make it all about “reforming” the police.

To the left, “reform” means more crime and more suffering.

This so called “reform” must also address out of control security details for RAT politicians who are being sent home by foreign countries for their misbehavior. If Americans don’t need cops, politicians don’t need security details.

That is why they are building an FBI building bigger than the Pentagram. Police will be federal and run out of the FBI.

This would be the slow takeover of State an Local forces to make our coming police state.

Probably. More willful segregation to occur, followed by mandated integration.

Maybe they’ll Section 8 all of those houses purchased by REITs, Blackrock, Vanguard, et al.

policing reform package

More diversity and sensitivity training?

From what I read, this group was thug cops hired due to reduced standards to fill opening. Also, the attack was likely personal revenge as the dead guy had been involved with the ex of one of the police. What kind of policing reform would combat that?

String has a much lower carbon footprint...

Used to be that people understood that police were the front line organization against criminals. Front line is truly the individual, but the police have government backing.
These days, pinkos allow criminals free rein and cry crocodile tears when innocent people are harmed.
