Exactly. It’s a literal trial balloon. Expect more things to come.

But keep on illegaly detaining people and building that new FBI complex, Joe....
I keep thing of that scene from "A Bridge Too Far" where the Gene Hackman character says "I was just wondering whose side are you working for"
To: Red Badger
I don’t get it, they probably already know where our Silos are so why send a ball00n.

“Space” is generally considered to start at about 60 miles above earth. Russia, USA, China, etc... have de facto agreed that surviellance objects at that height and higher are simply part of the spy game.
This balloon seems to be just below that level
it seems China is watching for a reaction.

Never forget how the Japanese used balloons to attack our homeland in WW2.

you assume it’s a spy balloon.
What if it’s a bioweapon?

These Chinese balloons are on their way to Delaware to return documents they no longer need.
To: Rappini
All China has to do is call their puppets to get whatever is desired.

So, is Biden going to wait for this second one to float over CONUS?
To: PGR88
Not to worry our own Jinping (Joe) sees no reason to be concerned.
To: PGR88
No, it’s around 60k *feet*, less than 1/5th of 60 miles.

How do they know it’s a “spy balloon” and not a weapon?

Right. Doesn’t China have spy satellites like everyone else? Why do they need to send balloons?

Exactly. Balloons are not for spying. They are for payload delivery.
Perhaps a new virus?
