Decolonizing Russia
CSCE ^ | June 23rd, 2022 | CSCE

Posted on 02/02/2023 2:01:38 PM PST by Mariner

Russia’s barbaric war on Ukraine—and before that on Syria, Libya, Georgia, and Chechnya—has exposed the Russian Federation’s viciously imperial character to the entire world. Its aggression also is catalyzing a long-overdue conversation about Russia’s interior empire, given Moscow’s dominion over many indigenous non-Russian nations, and the brutal extent to which the Kremlin has taken to suppress their national self-expression and self-determination.

Serious and controversial discussions are now underway about reckoning with Russia’s fundamental imperialism and the need to “decolonize” Russia for it to become a viable stakeholder in European security and stability. As the successor to the Soviet Union, which cloaked its colonial agenda in anti-imperial and anti-capitalist nomenclature, Russia has yet to attract appropriate scrutiny for its consistent and oftentimes brutal imperial tendencies.

The Russian Federation is NOT a member of CSCE.

CSCE is the Commission on Security and Cooperation in Europe, and consists of US Government officials.

It's purpose is to use US Government Overt and Covert influence to entirely control the OSCE

OSCE is the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe, an International Organization that has 57 Nation States as members including the Russian Federation.

The claim that Russia is a member of CSCE is FALSE.

The claimant has conflated CSCE with OSCE for purposes of Deception and Propaganda.

CSCE is Russophobic in nature and purpose.

So, you know, you can sit around rooting for us to lose if you want, but I’m not about to join you.

You have no clue what I wish for. My family has paid and may still be called to pay the "blood tax".

I have eight uncles and several cousins that were in the armed forces starting in WWII. My father lost half his leg in Chu Li and my son is currently at 29 Palms participating in Palmfex before he goes to the fleet.

My grandfather told all eight of his sons that unless they were willing to bleed for this country nobody would respect them. But he also pounded into our heads that family, education and hard work as the key to succeeding in our great country. "you better know why you might die and what you're going to be called to do in order to protect your family."

I was being sarcastic about the "game" part because none of the guys getting hard ons talking about war on the tv talking head circuit or in "our" government have a son that will be an 11 Bravo or 03xx.

....... ....... except Joe Biden.. doncha know he had two sons in the armed forces... the one that got a special deferment in order to join the Navy and smoke crack, bang strippers, and screw his sister in-law... and then the JAG war hero that he drags in front of Gold Star families that "got a Bronze Star" for his defense of the file cabinets and laser printers by arranging staplers and paper clips in combat as a REMF and POG.

“Well, Russia is the last extant colonial power, deep into the anti-colonial age. Whether they are “decolonized” by some external force or not, they should not reasonably expect to be able to hold on to that position forever.”
*******************************************************

The US too has its colonies, all those countries we force to submit to our financialization of world trade which includes keeping the dollar as the primary currency of the global financial system. So if Russia is to be expected to give up their colonies, doesn’t it follow that we should give up ours and allow competing currencies (which would make us unable to finance our debt and probably cut in half our standard of living)? There are no good guys here, just countries struggling for power.

I suppose once upon a time it was easier to pretend we had an obvious moral superiority in this struggle and thus deserved to win, but those days are long gone. These days many countries in the global South just see us as financial bullies, using our military to enforce rules that benefit us while disadvantaging others.

Ah yes, the leftist point of view weighs in. We all remember the many colonial wars that the USA fought to force countries to build McDonalds and adopt the dollar as a reserve currency. Bloody, shameful business.

Thanks, and unless the site is hacked, if it says .gov, then it is the US GOVERNMENT speaking.

Nothing leftist about my point of view, it’s called having an objective view of reality. As opposed to you being a delusional pinhead with some fanciful view of reality where the US can do no wrong.

This is confusing. Why is Russia listed as a participating state in both organizations?

This is confusing. Why is Russia listed as a participating state in both organizations?

OK, Fair Question as Posed.

First, the OSCE:

Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe | OSCE, the world's largest regional security-oriented intergovernmental organization with observer status at the United Nations.

The Russian Federation is a member of this and the United Nations, which recognizes this group.

Second, the CSCE: CSCE | Commission on Security and Cooperation in Europe

Self Description as follows: Commission on security and cooperation in Europe U. S. Helsinki Commission Mission We are a US government commission that promotes human rights, military security, and economic cooperation in 57 countries in Europe, Eurasia, and North America.

They are a US Government Commission, NOT an Organization, and they promote ONLY US Government Policy IN 57 Nations.

CSCE is NOT an ORGANIZATION OF 57 Nations.

CSCE uses the words "Commission" and "IN" to mislead readers to believe they are an Organization of 57 Member Nations.

There are no policy or views existing in CSCE that are not US Government policy or views.

In OSCE there are 57 separate viewpoints and policies advocated, one for each of the 57 Member Nations by those Member Nations.

“It has always been the intent of the globalists to break up Russia and install favourable regimes that will buy into the globalist order”

Sorry, but what are you talking about? Russia under Putin and Xis China are globalists.
