Trump Blasts Biden’s Move to Send Tanks to Ukraine, Calls for Peace Negotiations Before War ‘Spirals out of Control’

Former President Donald J. Trump called for peace negotiations to end the war between Russia and Ukraine on Wednesday, describing the situation as “very dangerous, explosive, and escalating by the day,” while President Joe Biden sends 31 Abrams main battle tanks to Ukraine forces.

“Joe Biden’s weakness and incompetence has brought us to the brink of nuclear war, and now Biden is doing what he said ten months ago would lead to World War III: He is sending in American tanks,” Trump said in a campaign video released Wednesday.

Biden announced he approved sending the tanks to Ukraine last week and called them “the equivalent of one Ukraine battalion.”

As Breitbart News’s Sean Moran pointed out, last March, Biden opted not to supply Ukraine with 28 Soviet MiG-29s fighter jets, telling House Democrats that sending “offensive equipment,” like jets or “tanks,” would be escalating the war into an international conflict.

“The idea that we’re going to send in offensive equipment and have planes and tanks and trains going in with American pilots and American crews — just understand, don’t kid yourself, no matter what y’all say, that’s called World War III,” Biden told Democrats at the time.

Biden announced Wednesday afternoon he has approved sending 31 Abrams M1 main battle tanks to Ukraine, in an escalation of U.S. support for the war as it nears the one-year mark. https://t.co/fx60Tkga3e

After pointing out Biden’s contradictory positions from last year into this year, Trump called for deescalation and peace negotiations:

Dude. You rude sob.

I don’t like Zelensky. And even if I did, that wouldn’t matter a bit.

He’s doing what one would expect. That doesn’t make me a fan to say that.

The whole world, the West, our country, could say “No.”. As far as I’m concerned, this war wouldn’t have happened if Trump was properly acknowledged as the winner in 2020, instead of a basically a stolen election. They hated him so much, they failed to see how good his rule was for the whole world.

But you insult me and don’t pass an argument, just like a child.

Like all the others, the neoCONs will be on full bore.

And the Never Trumpers. They're always lurking around...

Good gracious, how in the Hell do you assemble the mental gymnastics to get to THAT point?

Biden is the reason we got dragged into Ukraine in the first place, going back to when Trump was still just a businessman.

Donald tried to get Zelensky to find out what happened with Joe getting the prosecutor fired, but was impeached over it by people who should have known better but the ends justified the means for them.

Everything else has nothing to do with him.

Thank FJB and the two Vlads.

“Just because YOU would not vote for him under those circumstances...”

I didn’t say I wouldn’t vote for him. I’m just making an observation about the level of support he could feasibly expect to get.

“I encourage your candidate De Santis...”

He’s not my candidate. Stop lying.

“Sorry, very few Americans want to Make Russia Great Again and help Putin rebuild the Soviet empire. President Trump parroting Kremlin talking points to score primary season points in fact does great long term harm to the MAGA movement because a political movement that stands for nothing will be nothing.”

It’s apparent to all that you oppose Donald Trump for the GOP nomination in 2024. Who will you support and advocate for?

Those are all valid points but look where they are now. The killing could just go on and on, like WWI from 1916 until 1918. Yet how the world was in 1916 to 1918 didn’t change much except 100s of 1,000s of more dead.

No answer beyond just stop the fighting and start negotiating.

Mr. Trump, “negotiating” with RuSSia is futile. And it isn’t possible, nor is it just, to negotiate with an entity trying to steal your country.

That is TBD. Nobody owns the votes of my family. Not the GOP. Not Trump. Nobody. Trump has started primary season off roughly on a number of fronts but he still has time to make it up. Lots of conservatives switched from Cruz to Trump last time around and there is no reason to doubt many could do the same and jump from Trump to say a DeSantis this time around. Time will tell.

Russia is not trying to steal America.

When this whole debacle started, and in the first weeks, I mentioned that it might be best to re-install the Grand Duke as ruler in Russia.

He has the support of the church.

The sad part is now, there is virtually no chance a peace deal since this president and his criminal cabal have made it clear that no peace negotiations are even remotely possible.

The average age of Ukrainian troops has increased. Sooner or later, NATO will send in boots on the ground. At that time cities, on at least the east coast, will disappear.

The problem as I see it is that Ukraine has no expectation that Russia would negotiate in good faith. And what 3rd party could step in that could actually hold Russia to any agreement that they might make, to overcome such a credibility problem?

Only China and the USA are conceivably strong enough to do that, but neither would be seen as impartial, uninterested parties. So the war will continue until either Russia is unable to make another attempt at conquest any time in the near future, or until Ukraine is no longer able to offer any significant resistance.
