Trump Blasts Biden’s Move to Send Tanks to Ukraine, Calls for Peace Negotiations Before War ‘Spirals out of Control’

Former President Donald J. Trump called for peace negotiations to end the war between Russia and Ukraine on Wednesday, describing the situation as “very dangerous, explosive, and escalating by the day,” while President Joe Biden sends 31 Abrams main battle tanks to Ukraine forces.

“Joe Biden’s weakness and incompetence has brought us to the brink of nuclear war, and now Biden is doing what he said ten months ago would lead to World War III: He is sending in American tanks,” Trump said in a campaign video released Wednesday.

Biden announced he approved sending the tanks to Ukraine last week and called them “the equivalent of one Ukraine battalion.”

As Breitbart News’s Sean Moran pointed out, last March, Biden opted not to supply Ukraine with 28 Soviet MiG-29s fighter jets, telling House Democrats that sending “offensive equipment,” like jets or “tanks,” would be escalating the war into an international conflict.

“The idea that we’re going to send in offensive equipment and have planes and tanks and trains going in with American pilots and American crews — just understand, don’t kid yourself, no matter what y’all say, that’s called World War III,” Biden told Democrats at the time.

Biden announced Wednesday afternoon he has approved sending 31 Abrams M1 main battle tanks to Ukraine, in an escalation of U.S. support for the war as it nears the one-year mark. https://t.co/fx60Tkga3e

Trump—The Peace president—wait till the body bags show up after the war on Ruzzia starts going full bore. The thing that will do it is the draft (unless we go Nuke) This war, like the other one we started in 1812, will see our capital burn.

“the Chomskyite nutball wing of the GOP...”

It really has become something like that. Trying to get some of them to admit anything good about the USA is like trying to pull a tooth.

“as time will prove him correct...”

Or it will prove him (and you) incorrect. That’s the trouble with predictions, unless you’re actually a prophet.

You have to understand something the way the Russian people think is nothing like the way that American people think

Having been to Russia and known many Russians I would say its not too different, actually. Russians consider themselves a super power and want an empire. They most all have iphones and are all on instagram now, too. It’s not entirely clear how much suffering they are willing to endure to fulfill the imperial fantasies of tin pot Tsar. So in many ways they are similar to Americans.

“I’m sure hes going to threaten both sides and demand...”

First he’ll have to get himself back into a position where he can actually threaten anybody.

No matter what transpires in greater Russia (The Ukraine, Byelorussia, and Russia) they will always be governed by despots.

It’s their way of life.

“Why Ukraine wants to keep a hold of a people that just want to go is not crazy, but then again does anyone REALLY know what Crimeans and Donbassians actually want?”

Well, yeah, for one, not every single person in those territories wants to join Russia. But even if the majority do, assenting to it won’t necessarily end the conflict. Once Ukraine agrees to something like that, there is no guarantee that Russia won’t just come back in another few years to swallow another bite of Ukraine (as they have proven themselves not averse to doing), and Ukraine will be in a worse position to resist that.

Also, there’s the issue of resources. Those territories are quite rich, and without them, Ukraine will probably sink to the level of a country like Moldova. I think if Russia said “we’ll open our borders, let all the Russian-speakers come to Russia where we can keep them safe”, Ukraine would agree in a heartbeat, but Russia doesn’t want just the Russian-speaking Ukrainian people. They want those territories.

Trump will tell Ukraine to cede the 4 claimed oblasts plus Crimea or he will cut them off from all support of any kind.

Just like that the war is over and US essential interests are served.

I see and the 800,000 people in the city Zaporizhia, Ukraine don’t get a vote? How very fascist and un-American of you. Conservatives must be better than that.

It should be obvious that we have not had journalism journalism that examines the events in Ukraine. It is stenography for the DOD/State/CIA that leverages the reputation of the publisher. Propaganda 101.

What is interesting is how the DOD/State/CIA messaging theme has changed over the past 3-4 weeks. It no longer transmits the inevitability of an AFU victory and success in a shortly arriving offensive. The key thematic image now is WW1. Now Trump jumps in when negotiation, his wheelhouse, is a theme.

The response anticipated from the recipient of the current DOD/State/CIA is to calculate the chances of success for the "in-group" (Dopamine then oxytocin mediation). This change represents the abandonment of conditioning the recipient to accept the cost of securing a victory. It conditions to accept a long escalating conflict and the avoidance of a dubious peace process that the in-group will most intelligently navigate past.

The thematic message will continue to shift, IMHO. US policy toward Russia dictated by DOD/State/CIA since 2004 at minimum and flowering in 2014 has been the most egregious and malicious miscalculation in the history of diplomacy. DOD/State/CIA became filled during this general period of time with the products of post modern higher education. These products believe in the success of a scheme that fits their favored narrative because, to quote a former President at the root of this colossal failure, history arcs in our favor. This is Dunning-Kruger governance before our very eyes. Lightning bolts and electric chairs arc. Not history.

PDJT once again leads where the American people want to go and their politicians refuse to go.

Immigration, trade, now Peace. Just like he did with the Abraham Accords. Always 100% in the interest of the American people and always opposed by the Uniparty.

Go ahead, lefties. Tell me why peace with Orange Man Bad is far worse than death and destruction with Bi-sh*t. Go!

I'm not following how this statement replies to anything I've said?

Are you saying Zelensky should not be asking for weapons, money, etc, or that when he does ask, he should be shamed and contrite about it?

I can only image that any country being invaded would want help in some way, so it is what it is...

You could also say that any invader, who then encounters resistance that halts their invasion, would ask for help, too. It's like WWI in France in 1916. Two more years of war but the only additional outcome was more dead on all sides...

I'm not for either country, but I am pretty sure the war between them is at a stalemate and it would be good for everyone to stop and negotiate peace.

Without getting into any one nation's grievances, this should be the way intelligent people look at it; even Ukrainians and Russians.

This is a shooting war and President Trump is treating it like a reality show social media troll. He going to get a lot of people killed because Russia now sees a divided west and is encouraged to continue its genocide in Ukraine figuring we will break eventually.

“Trump will tell Ukraine to cede the 4 claimed oblasts plus Crimea or he will cut them off from all support of any kind.”

If he says that is his plan he probably won’t win the primary, much less the general election (even leaving any concerns of cheating aside).

Tell you what since you like zelinsky so much why aren’t you out fund raising money for his war?

I’d love to see people who like him to raise their own money and not take it money from everyone from the public Treasury.

Just because YOU would not vote for him under those circumstances, does not mean he would not win the primary.

I encourage your candidate De Santis to attack him on such a position...and Linda...and Rubio etc.

I don’t know, man?

I’m not Trump and I could be wrong.

Then again, when Donald speaks, the media and the Left usually twist it all to pieces. So he does have to be careful. Which, when you think about it, is very difficult for such a direct speaking person!

And, of course, I could be wrong about what he thinks.

Everyone discussing this should keep that possibility in the back of their minds!

Sorry, very few Americans want to Make Russia Great Again and help Putin rebuild the Soviet empire. President Trump parroting Kremlin talking points to score primary season points in fact does great long term harm to the MAGA movement because a political movement that stands for nothing will be nothing.
