Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) used a press conference Wednesday to make clear his response to recent mass shootings in California will be to limit concealed carry.
The Sacramento Bee reported Newsom is rallying behind Senate Bill 2, which tightens concealed carry permit issuance requirements in response to the Supreme Court of the United States’ Bruen (2022) decision.
That decision struck down New York’s proper cause requirement for concealed carry permit issuance, which, as result, also gutted California’s “good cause” requirement.

Did he blame Climate Change and Republicans for the mass shootings? - as he does for every other “crises” - the solution, according to Newsom is always higher taxes, especially on gasoline, and more gun control.
He’ll make sure he and his family and property are protected by armed guards at all time.

We tried to recall this empty suit but the cheat is strong in California. Millions of illegals voting, ballot harvesting and , of course, the liberal elites backed him to the hilt. The Biden, Hobbs and Ferrerman “installations” prove they don’t need large crowds to steal elections.
So glad I left that overcrowded leftist sh*t bucket.
It's because the police can materialize instantaneously to where you are, when a crime is being committed, and save you...oh wait... they can't.
Maybe law abiding citizens being armed, is the best way to promote safety?

The last thing this State needs is a bunch of self righteous law abiding citizens with guns for self defense against these under privileged, marginalized yutes using their illegal guns to make a statement or get some money to live...

Indeed! The tax man can not be avoided. Yet, the border, the drug laws, theft, traffic laws, loitering, etc. Most of that is not enforced for the general populace.

Newsom is appealing to the gun control voters heavily and slightly reacting to the concealed carry folks.....its all political maneuvering.
Exactly! The saying is true “when seconds could mean life and death, the cops are many minutes away”. Our life or death should not hinge on cops who are dozens of minutes away. We have an inalienable right to protect ourselves, but liberals like Newsome only seem interested in criminals being allowed to carry weapons, and not have to face armed citizenry
Yep, our country is in dire straights now. There is no way Biden got “the most votes of any president ever” too. At best his rallies had 20-30 people attending- Trump had several dozen thousand people at his rallies, many standing outside in the freezing cold for many hours just to hear him speak in person and show their support.

When conservatives went to bed with a very comfortable lead, and they saw that vote counting had been suspended, they knew darn well that the big steal was on.
There was no way Hobbs, who hid from debates, refused to campaign etc won either. Same for fetterman.
Our nation is in deep trouble election wise.
Same for rules of the road - I got pulled over for “failure to wear a seat belt” - I had the belt under my arm b/c I’m small and it cuts into my neck. I was going a few blocks to pick up my son and left my purse at home. Somehow the cop couldn’t pull up my name, license, etc., on his computer - which meant a ticket and mandatory appearance before a judge. All I had to do was show my license and proof of insurance. I was lucky. Cop said he was going to tow my car but I had my son in the car at the time.
I had to lose a day of work to go and show my license and registration before a judge - took less than 10 seconds and I had to wait for hours just to do that.
This happens to law abiding citizens - not illegals - who can now get licenses, but most don’t carry insurance. The one that hit me gave fake insurance card, and that’s the last I heard of it, I’m sure nothing happened to the idiot and my insurance company said they were “working on it” - three years later. I’m sure the illegal is still driving his car around w/0 insurance. You can no longer tow illegals’ cars if they don’t have proof of registration, insurance and a valid license (required for US) b/c they “need the car to get to work” - someone else can come and get it for them and that’s the end of it.

Vote harvesting is legal in California - and all “voters” are sent a mail-in ballot. My neighbor got three, including someone who hadn’t lived there in 10 years.
This is how Newsom was elected, although there are a lot of illegals voting and California is chock-full of massive numbers die-hard, dumb Democrats in SF, LA and parts of San Diego. In my area, they live in the hills in the richest part of the city.
Vote harvesting flipped parts of deep red Orange country to blue in 2018 (I understand this has been reversed as of the last election).
There are plenty of them around these days.
Gavin Nobrain strikes again. I don’t feel sorry for the California folks. They had a chance empty the trash and they opted to re-elect him.
I voted against Newsom in the recall and voted for Kevin Kiley to be my new governor. The recall effort failed but I’m proud to report Kiley is now a US Congressional Representative (not mine though but I wish he were!) and doing great work in the House.
Yes wealthy people in the Bay Area are pulled over for inspections of car seats for kids to make sure they are “installed properly” while illegal immigrants in the Central Valley pile their kids in the back of a pickup truck, no problem.
And look up the residency requirements for in-state tuition for the University of CA. It’s easier to be considered in-state if an illegal immigrant than if not. Truly.
