Arizona Republican gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake now has a criminal referral against her for tweeting photos of actual voter signatures.
Secretary of State Adrian Fontes — a Democrat — wrote in his referral, “The protections afforded by this subsection prohibit posting any information derived from voter registration forms or precinct registers to the internet, and under no circumstance may a person other than the voter or [a] statutorily authorized person reproduce a voter’s signature.”
Fontes referred Lake for the class 6 felony — the least severe category, typically with sentences between four months and two years if found guilty — for this tweet sent on January 23.
I’ve posted a screencap and blacked out the signatures to avoid going afoul of Arizona law. My wife and I are planning on visiting my friend and colleague Stephen Kruiser in Tucson, and we’d rather not have any trouble.
Before we get to the meat of the matter, a couple of observations.
Lake would also have been a much better governor than Hobbs, with views and policies much more in line with Arizona voters.
Lake is absolutely correct to pursue every legal avenue available for looking into what went on in Maricopa County on election day and after. It’s obvious to anyone with open eyes that things were not on the up and up. At the very, very least, there needs to be some kind of accounting for why Lake’s election opponent, now-governor Katie Hobbs, was not forced to recuse her responsibilities as Secretary of State, overseeing an election she was running in.
A good first step toward restoring faith in elections — and neither Left nor Right has much faith left — is disallowing contestants from also being arbiters.

Obviously she is posting fraudulent sigs and I suspect it would be hard to convince a jury that investigating and publishing evidence of fraud is punishable.

Uh oh, Stephen Green just reproduced signatures in his article by republishing Lake’s tweet. Someone call the DA and report him!

Yep, Cucker won’t upset his gravy train. He does a good act of being a conservative, but in reality, he’s the enemy’s “kept man”.
I suppose in another 10 or 20 years, the rest of the conservatives might wake up and realize he’s just as fake as Hannity and O’Reilly were.
If she is charged, then she can question each of the purported voters under oath and ask if those are their signatures and also subpoena copies of other documents with their signatures to compare. She didn’t “reproduce a voter’s signature” if those were not the voters’ signatures.

What load of bunk. Kari Lake is doing the Republican Party a great service by doing her best to take on the corruption of the left while the conservatives shy away from the fight. So far she’s still standing and has gotten farther than any Republican before her.
I live in Arizona, and I honestly believe that the election was rigged considering all of the evidence that’s been put out this far.
She showed that the voter signature on ballots didn’t match the voter signature on file. Her tweets showed the voter’s typed name on a form that was on file, the voter signature on file, and the signature on a ballot. They did not match. However, she did reproduce the actual voter’s signature on file with the election’s office, so she may be in trouble there.
I can’t tell if the author is being sarcastic.
