A Tennessee sheriff has suspended two deputies and ordered a new investigation into Tyre Nichols' death after personally reviewing the sickening video.
Shelby County Sheriff Floyd Bonner Jr. said he had 'concerns' about the two deputies who arrived after Nichols was beaten, putting them on leave as he launches an internal review over the officers' conduct.
A street cam video of the altercation, which began over a traffic stop, shows two officers, who have not been identified, arriving at the scene after five had beaten and pinned Nichols, 29, to the ground.
The group of officers could be seen standing around the injured man, first bumping each other as he lays twitching on the ground before an eighth officer appears and paramedics arrive.
In his full statement, Bonner said: 'Having watched the videotape for the first time tonight, I have concerns about two deputies who arrived on the scene following the physical confrontation between police and Tyre Nichols.
'I have launched an internal investigation into the conduct of these deputies to determine what occurred and if any policies were violated,' he added. 'Both of these deputies have been relieved of duty pending the outcome of this administrative investigation.'
The brutal beating caught on police body camera and a street surveillance camera show the group of officers delivering brutal kicks and sucker punches to Nichols as he lies on the ground.
After they handcuff and pin him to the ground, three other officers arrive and the group can be seen standing by as Nichol is left dragged and propped up to sit.
The injured man, however, is unable to keep himself sitting and writes and twitches, but the officers do not tend to him, and two are seen fist-bumping each other by the hood of the patrol car.

So why ar they holding back other information that they know? They know why he was pulled over unless the officers are varied different stories.

Yep. He doesn’t seem too concerned about the hundreds of blacks who have been murdered in gang violence since this happened which was 3 weeks ago nor does he seem too concerned about the thousands of blacks poisoned by the tons of fentanyl he is allowing to cross the border. I doubt he ever knows what he is saying. His programmers tell him to what to say then they change his diaper.
Most often as not, the whole story of these incidents is not shown , they only show that the criminal was "abused" and not the actions that led up to it. Sometimes the criminal community just builds pressure until the police in the area finally snap and give them what they have been asking for

I found out from a neighbor my wife made friends with who was a rookie Sherriff deputy who got raped by the "poor little kid" that got beat while responding a riot at a rave club and the crowd overwealmed the responding officers, they took her gun dragged her face down a set of marble stairs destroying her pretty face, pulled down her pants and dragged her into a back room and gang raped her, and the Sherriff beating the guy was her partner who would never forget that guys face
of course they could not "prove " the poor litle 20 yo kid was involved, and the incident never made headlines, the sherriffs decided to keep it hush for her sake

1. First I've heard the allegation Nichol's was "caught up in a sting." Is this related to why he was initially pulled over for reckless driving? What happened prior to being pulled over?
2. His lawyer says, "He did nothing wrong." 100% lie right there. At a minimum, he resisted arrest. Of course, that doesn't justify what followed, but saying he did nothing wrong is demonstrably inaccurate.
I can't imagine resisting arrest. It's a loose/loose proposition.
If your morals dictact it or if your inclined to fight the police, the place to do that is in court...not on the street. Not saying in court everyone wins, naturally, but everyone loses if you brawl with the police outside a courtroom.

Guy kept resisting. He was told a million times to give them his hands, lay down, etc and he never complied. Cops beat his ass and he died. When you resist cops will always escalate.
Multiple former LEO’s have posted on FR that with 4 (and later 5) beefy cops vs. one skinny guy, resist or no, they should have had him under control and cuffed in about 10 seconds.
Chieftainess and her Dept. are going to be in a lot of hot water if the report that one of these cops had previously been involved in a similar (but non fatal) incident is confirmed. NYC cop that was on TV B4 the vids came out pretty much predicted such history would be the case.
